Ledger Nano wallets which are completely close source has made some people think hardware wallet should not fall under cold storage anymore because of how people using the hardware wallet can send the Ledgertheir seed phrases to third party companies for backup.

I also do not trust hardware wallet unless it is airgapped. Only airgappedAirgapped hardware wallets I can call cold storages. Another cold storage is a paper wallet generated on an airgapped device is the third one. All are airgapped.
