I think it's just going to drive betting underground...
Surely, you don't expect a large population to just stop with the ban, they will seek alternatives.

This part always hurts because despite official measures governments have been able to collect good taxes and revenue however, now they will shift these activities underground and their outcomes will remain the same.

Unfortunately things will fall into the wrong hands governments rarely take the time to make decisions like this and their approach is often detrimental to themselves. The sports industry has experienced a significant boom in recent years which is truly remarkable thanks in part to sports betting sites.

Initially, things were going well, and many people had jobs however, many tech companies that contributed to the development have now suffered a setback and it's clear that this will have long-term consequences.
