I still feel like Hansi Flick now has a responsibility of putting the players in their proper form for every match they're to play, having known that they have many competitions to contest for this season. In that match, it seems like Barcelona underrated Rayo's ability to score them because they were so nonchalant in holding down possession. Honestly, I won't like to see this again.
It is not that Barcelona actually underestimated this team but it was more like Rayo Vallecano came with a perfect game plan that cut out Barcelona high line football it as actually been said that this pattern wouldn’t work with a compact team with intention to defend only the highline actually works perfect with a team that comes up to play,
It’s would be much more better if Barcelona can perfect other strategies outside their high line.. Even in the Paticular game, the highline did work and saved them in some particular game just that I think they are switching multiple time to balance it since it seem, Rayo where crossing the balls right from their half.
Flick sure does have some more plans maybe not trying to expose them for the upcoming games..Another thing with the team is that their defence needs some touch( just only the defenders part I guess)
The Barcelona team of this season is dynamic and are not stuck on one strategy so I believe they can switch strategy depending on the requirement of the game.
Flick is a very proactive coach that knows how to adapt to games, if he play Madrid, he will not likely use this same strategy he will use for another smaller team. So I have confidence in the team the season and they are my favourite to win the league.
