When it comes to the Npfl, it’s very unpredictable unlike most European football leagues where even before the season gets started you can comfortably beet your chest and predict the teams that will make it to the top four and in come cases you can even predict the winner. Kano pillars are not the only top team in the Nigeria premier league who are not performing up to expectations currently, you can also see how Enyimba is declining. I think most of the new teams now are really making good investments, though so many teams have come and go, there are lots of unstable teams in the Npfl, most of them who once won the league previously are no where to be found you can’t even say where they are currently if they’ve been relegated to 5th division. I think all these Kano pillars. Enyimba, and Rivers United are even more stable because they’ve been in the league for many seasons and yes it’s just a matter of time before Kano pillars win the title again.
I think the unpredictability of the team that's going to lift the league title even when the league hasn't ended is part of what makes the NPFL fascinating to the fans then having one team hacking the league with sequencial dominance to the league title. It would be boring. Most of the teams that are lagging behind right now are due to a lack of strong financial investment to team and the new teams with the resources to recruit quality talents haa come into the league and boosted the competition that these older teams are finding it difficult to maintain their top ranks in the league table.
