The Nigerian league use to have Enyimba in those days as one of the capable teams who always contend for the league and continental championships every season but things have changed. Every team presently is capable of pulling up a suprise at anytime because their performance is also based on the amount of sponsorship they received during the season. We all saw Abakaliki FC which kicked off last season and in their first season, they made it to their first final against Kwara United because of the support they got both from fans and the leadership. If they eventually find their way to the top flight, they will definitely be a challenge to many teams. Remo Stars have been very consistent since at least 4 seasons now and still fighting for the top spot again this season.

I just wish any channel can start televising the Nigerian league, it will gain more support and recognition globally. For now, let's keep hoping things get better.

Enyimba used to be a very strong team back then but they're the shadows of themselves currently infact I can compare them to Manchester United based on the fact that they were on of the strongest but lost their glory days, I really loved the team because of how well they represented Nigeria across the nation, well that's what happens when a team is not managed well the team would become weak and even overshadowed by new teams with better management and sponsors. You're right, if only we had sports minded men like Kanu Nwankwo and Jay Jay governing the football bodies of the NFF maybe the league would've been televised but what do you expect when politicians and businessmen are in charge, the NFF really needs to be reformed.
Lolz 😂 like Manchester United is a very serious matter which they have to come out from it. I could remember in 2009 to 2012 when Enyimba was very strong in the Nigeria Football Premier League and their name was with everyone's lips but they are nowhere to be found in the National League. I could also remember they produced good players in the Super Eagles too.
As for the internal team issue the problem is from the coaches, you know most of the coaches that were doing those good jobs are no more or retired from service so the new Coaches are not well trained to coach the teams. Finidi the recent Coach for the Super Eagles were appointed as the new Head Coach in Rivers United last season and after the season, he was relegated to the position of the assistant coach in the team.
