Like users with coins received from mixers (Sinbad) and got flagged by Binance but Binance asked them providing details and perhaps withdrawals too. After that, Binance can close the service with those users to avoid troubles for their exchange.

It’s not only mixers, even other platforms like exchanges and casinos, as long as they’re unlicensed, there’s a chance coins are being mixed there. Say you send money to an unregulated platform from your own address. What if that platform is involved in money laundering? When you withdraw and receive coins back, you could get implicated with them.

Sure, maybe you can defend yourself later, but you’ll still be investigated.
That’s already a hassle.

Regardless of the amount, there’s still a risk you can get implicated. Looks like what the government really wants is for us to use regulated platforms. Unregulated ones will just be treated as illegal and accused of facilitating money laundering.

Not only buying, it could be mixing with mixers, or depositing in unlicensed exchanges and casinos. You might end up in their pool without knowing the risk.
When the operators are dirty, regulators will likely treat the whole pool as dirty. That’s the real risk.

Regulation = compliance. That’s what the government wants. Outside of that, we’re at risk of being implicated in illegal activities.

Remember platforms like casinos or exchanges use their own wallets, even if they show different addresses. If that wallet has an illegal link, anyone who sent to or received from it can still be investigated. That’s the real danger.
