You may utilise ChatGPT to get summery of every page. You may finish very soon with this approach  Cheesy

Using ChatGPT or some other bot seems like cheating, yet using such tool might be better than nothing.

It would be like reading the Cliff notes version rather than the actual book, which actually might make more sense than the actual thread.

Maybe have ChatGBT summarize every 100 pages and then just go back and look at the source in the areas that are of interest to see that actual post(s).

Tools like ChatGPT comes in handy when one has to read 698603 replies. Of course such tools won't beat the actual information you got while reading all the replies.

One can also use ChatGPT to learn about the meaning of the Rusty Pipe Treatment:

Got it — here’s a clear explanation of **“Rusty Pipe Treatment” (RPT)** as it appears in the **Wall Observer (WO)** thread on Bitcointalk:

---

### What it is

* The **“Rusty Pipe Treatment”** is a **running joke / meme** in the WO thread.
* It was popularized by long-time poster **BobLawblaw** around 2021.
* The phrase is used as a tongue-in-cheek **threat of punishment** for bad posting, trolling, or general annoyance in the thread.

---

### How it’s used

* Typically, a poster says someone is *“about to receive the rusty pipe treatment.”*
* Sometimes others exaggerate it with add-ons like a **“special edition”** or combine it with other slapstick imagery (e.g. “bat-slapping and/or rusty pipe treatment”).
* It’s never literal — the WO community uses it to **mock, discipline, or roast** other posters in a humorous way.

---

### Tone & cultural role

* **Not violent in intent**: it’s part of the **over-the-top, bantering style** of WO.
* Acts as **tribal humor**: regulars recognize it as a light-hearted “punishment” that reinforces in-group norms.
* Over time, variations of the phrase emerged, showing it became a **shared meme** rather than just BobLawblaw’s line.

---

✅ **In short:** In the Bitcointalk Wall Observer thread, the **“Rusty Pipe Treatment”** is a jokey, exaggerated way of saying someone deserves a smackdown (verbally, not physically) for poor posting. It’s one of many playful, semi-menacing metaphors WO users throw around, giving the thread its unique, rowdy character.

EDIT: I had to train ChatGPT a couple of times in regard to rusty pipes and their origin, before it put out above answer, which is the most correct i could get from it so far.

Still, ChatGPT does not seem to find out anything about the detailed procedure of RPT. Maybe it's censorship to blame here?
But following the links ChatGPT provides after more deep searches of the exact term likely leads to an explanation, hopefully of graphic nature, if Bob didn't delete it back then.

EDIT2: And it's a shame that many of the great RPT-inspired images and memes hosted at imgur disappeared from this here thread  Angry
This certainly doesn't help unterstanding the meaning of rusty pipes.

EDIT3: Thought twice, i assume that the original term is even older, because Bob deleted some probably substantial posts about RPT, and from my personal feeling i came across the term/memes earlier than 2021. But you know, my nickname is program when it comes to exact memories, a lot of times.

EDIT4: I hope i'm done editing this post now  Roll Eyes
