I was having a conversation about gambling with two young men and one of them said gambling is not for the poor people, that it has the proclivity to favour rich people much than with the poor, and the examples he gave made me to come close to endorsing his interpretation.
His argument is that the rich people gambling do not have to pack a lot of odds as in parlay bet to accumulate a high odd size that will give a satisfying potential win. The rich has the money to risk huge amount to a single game for instance 2 odds staked with $1 million to win $2 millions, but the poor staking with $100 to win $2 million has to pick multiple legs to accumulate odds to get such potential win. It hence decreases the gambling winning chance whilst the rich gambler chance remains increased.
I think the main difference between the rich and the poor in gambling and betting is that the rich gamble without worry. They know they can gamble their money and enjoy their bets. At the same time, they brag about it to others and capitalize on it, like Drake did.
But the poor always worry, because they know they're taking that last bit of money from their hearts. And when they lose it, they get very angry. After all, their hopes were in vain.
The biggest difference between rich and poor gamblers is their mindset and mentality and financial situation, and because of their mindset and their financial situation, a rich person can easily quit gambling after losing, Because he has no need to recover his lost money, but a poor person is more emotional when he loses, which makes him tempted to gamble more, because he wants to make up for his losses, Because he has no money, and so he cannot accept his loss. And thus a rich person is less likely to become addicted to gambling, but a poor person can easily
get intobecome deeply addicted to it.
