Big guys actually can manipulate the market very easily and exchanges even pay them to do it (certain ones). Especially in the case of CZ where he has a ton of insider information. The way it works is like this... They look at their order books and the leverage... They see that a certain sale of BTC will drop the price a certain amount and liquidate the leveraged users. So they sell, liquidate everyone, and buy back cheaper. Some exchanges even give them a bonus for hunting liquidations like this. It is a rigged game. That is why you must always avoid leverage and not get shaken out by dips.
