I have been gambling for years, maybe I have been addicted to it at some point even though I never noticed, however I'm a little in control of my gambling activities. Something still get me confused regarding gambling addiction that is a hot topic here and I want to get opinion of others on these areas:
How do you know you are addicted to gambling- How do you know you are addicted to gambling

I’ve written this many times before: the best bet anyone can make is to pay for a consultation with a medical professional, then to determine if they are, in fact, a psychopath or gambler. You might even discover that you have psychopathic traits without realizing it, or what some call "subclinical psychopathy." Did you know there’s scientific research that suggests people can be "passive" psychopaths, according to the Psychopathy Checklist-Revised (PCL-R)?
If you want to know whether or not you're addicted without spending a dollar on a doctor, a very easy way is to simply stop gambling. If you can easily go for years without it, you're probably not addicted.
Gambling isn't inherently bad; it can be a part of everyday life. But it's a lot like gluten. Years can go by, and you might never realize it could be harmful until you finally discover a problem, at which point you have to quit.
