While people like the idea of running mining on crappy low performance hardware without good worldwide block distribution or worse home internet,
or worse, on home internet, that greatly increases the risk of losing that one rare block you might find.

Every time there is a block change, you're also hit with that information and thus if you are mining there also, that's bad.
