Know your right as a crypto investor.
It is your right to safe guide your recovery seed, I repeat, it is your every right to safe guide your private keys only to yourself, it is your right to know that if you buy a ledger hardware wallet no one from ledger company should ask for your recovery seed or private key for any reason.
This is really important, especially for the beginner, and even as a reminder for professionals, sharing the seed phrase, even by mistake, is the worst thing an investor will do. That is the only way to access your holdings as an investor, so sharing it with anyone, regardless of who he or she is to you, is really risky and is not advisable.
Although I have once had a friend who almost became a victim of such an incident – someone chatted and told him he should send his seed phrase for activation of the account – luckily, he confronted me with the issue, and I discouraged him from doing such. So newbies should actually have the knowledge before doing anything.
I feel bad for the person who got scammed because it is very painful to lose what you have been holding for years, but I want to ask questions, did that person learn about crypto or anything about investment before he started his crypto journey, because I understand why someone who is able to hold his coin from 2023 will now send his seed phrase to someone he didn't know from anywhere, I understand that no one is perfect, and no one is above to mistakes, but as someone who is not new to cryptocurrency, you can not look so cheap to scammers.
Someone who has the knowledge and experience of the crypto world won’t do such a thing. Know that so the person who falls victim to this scam is definitely going to be a newbie, someone holding for a long time, and then just like that another person contacts him and asks for the seed phrase. He now gives it out and gets scammed. He is supposed to understand that all the years he has been holding, no one has asked him for such a thing. Why now?
