I can't quite explain why it's so popular now. Sports betting has been around for a long time, and online betting hasn't just become popular now, it's been around for years. I imagine it's taking market share from other areas, such as poker, as I said before.
In my case, I only sports bet very occasionally, maybe a couple of times a year, so I'm not part of the boom.
