Barcelona were excellent. Lamine Yamal missed a few gamesmatch due to injury and his return to the match was even more impressive. They dominated the game from the start but Sociedad suddenly scored a goal. But they picked up their pace again in their attack. The first half of the match was a goal from defender Jules Kound from corner cross. Rashford had several chances to score but failed to score and Sociedad narrowly escaped an own goal. Sociedad players played well and failed to score despite several chances. The experienced Lewandowski scored the second goal of the match from Lamine's cross. Barcelona had more chances towards the end of the match but failed to score.

Barcelona victory moved Real Madrid down to second place in the table. Barca are top of the table with 19 points from seven matches having won six and drawn one.
