then i cant help you :S nothing i can do without access.
when you run configure and it fails, check the config.log for the last entries. it should tell you why it failed.

i can give you access? teamviewer? im so desperate to get this working.

what version of libcurl do you have installed?
Maybe the one from your distro is just too old
