He really does not need a share every 1.3 minutes. His payout will be the same regardless as the shares he does get are worth more.

p2pool hashpower is increasing. Difficulty is also increasing. That means unless his hashpower is also increasing, his piece of the pie will decrease. However, he should get more pieces than he did before because of the overall pool hashpower increase. However, it'll be offset by difficulty increasing.
