Try this one:

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
.\sgminer\sgminer.exe -k x11mod -o stratum+tcp://stratum.cryptotrain.net:4444 -u your wallet -p x -I 17 --gpu-engine 1000 --gpu-memclock 1400

If this works you can add another parameters such as thread-concurrency and tune intensity and gpu-engine.
Use ltcrabbit mode and 13.12 drivers

a 290 should be able to run I 18 without issues. Maybe higher. I would also recommend g 2 (2 gpu threads) and experiment with w 256 and w 128.

Doing it now !! im getting average around 3.3 Mhs a card on 75 degrees? think this needs to be much more or am i wrong about that?

You should get near 4mh/s or more with a 290 but I don't have one so I'm only guessing. It's trial and error with settings but if you're using 1000/1400 on engine/memory you can go much higher. Try 1150/1550 and see what you get.
