He is possibly sociopathic but does not realise. But he generally does not mean harm. I put on my thickest skin. lol.

Well that's the problem with socipaths: reduced ability to empathise with those around them. Hence, they retreat to the world they want. But it's not all bad news. The adult human brain is malleable.
The first step is realizing that you have a problem. Are sociopaths even capable of that level of self-actualization?
