Not buying that you had never heard of Monopoly before. Far too many similarities. there is also hundreds if not thousands of different types of monopoly, you had to have known.
I think maybe I didn't word that quite right. I wasn't claiming to have thought of the concept of Monopoly... the game was invented well before I was born! XD I was specifically referring to Mariopoly. I had not seen this version in stores before. Some friends of mine had talked about making up their own versions of Monopoly and this is what I came up with a while ago.
Ah, my bad. With the clarification I see what you are saying now. monopoly is such an interesting concept as a game. As i mentioned in a previous post. I play it often. It can be played with so many different strategies, and no game seems to play out the same as the last.
personally, I love the game, but I've also been playing it since I was a kid so I may be biased.
I do like the looks of your version, looks like you put a lot of work into it.
