To be honest, if you don't know anything about the password and its lenght, you are not able to recover the wallet.

Makes perfect sense for someone that "stole" user data, but has no password.

Exactly what i was thinking, they don't seem to know much about bitcoin, probably stole an email address saw an email and thought it was an oppertunity to make some quick cash. Offer 1/3 for someone to get the pass and do the work for them and they're up 1200$
