Import tax will be there even if you pay using credit card.

But you will save some money on foreign transaction fee using bitcoin.

I also expect overstock to give some discount for those using bitcoins, after some time.
After all, they make some savings on the credit card transaction charges.

I would not be surprised to see this sometime in the future. I would personally consider the most likely time to see this would be would be around the black Friday/cyber Monday sales that most retailers try to use to gain market share and become profitable for the entire year.

There is no reason why it would not be successful in driving up sales. People are always looking for a cheaper way to buy things. They are also looking for a more convenient way to buy things. Overstock offering a discount in exchange for paying in bitcoin would be both.
