It's an asset which doesn't do anything. Buffet once said that if you buy an ounce of gold now in 100 years it will still be an ounce of gold. The same is true for a Bitcoin.

Isn't this wonderful? If you buy a US Dollar, a hundred years from now on it may not even be a currency anymore, but even more probably there will be a lot more of its kind, making your US Dollar worth less. Incredible!

Yes, but not an investment into something which grows, such as a profitable business. Profitable businesses have "intrinsic" value as they continuously create more value. This is why Buffet doesn't like Bitcoin (or gold).
