Yes, the passphrase defines the account (brain wallet). If you enter a different phrase, you open a different account.

mmmh, brain . . thats my the problem, right there, mine is small . . So, I use "Key-pass" 2.xx (generates loong, raandom, passwords), use with "Data backup" - plug in, and I have backups on USBs, etc. in different locations.

It was said several times before, but you can´t repeat that often enough (sticky? mods ! ) ! !
Oh, and switch it to "auto-type obfuscation", and "secure desktop" to enter your master-password !

At first, its a bit of work, to set up, but then it lets you finally sleep sound, and dream of your wealth . .

Until someone cracks keepass and gets immediate access to all your accounts.

I run a good Antivirus and "Spyshelter" at the same time. And I don´t look pornos, well, at least not on this PC . .

What about a hardware bug? Or some obscure 0 day exploit picked up from an infected everyday website?

I appreciate your thoroughness "_mr_e". And, first of all: thats the right attitude, really, has nothing to do with paranoia, but awareness ! !

Well, for hardware bugs, I have my backups, as I said. (or do you you mean hardware spys ?)
And for "0 days", theres "Spyshelter" (and another similar), who asks me about every process, which wants to run, to confirm it.
The first two weeks its a little annoying, but it remembers all my decisions, and then its mostly quiet . .
