Dunno, to me the output looks to explicitly explain what to do. Did you follow the instructions as per the readme (not just install a driver).

Yes, I've tried a number of suggested settings from the readme for the avalon 2 and had no success. Still getting this weird error, or if I just run the miner without any settings it starts and the machine goes undetected.

The fan spins, the lights all light up green, it shows up in my devices, but yet all attempts to actually mine with it trying cgminer and bfgminer have so far failed. I've never had trouble setting up my previous GPU mine and moved into using block erupters for a while, finally decided to try and start building a new little farm so it's not like I'm new to this but it's a very strange issue I seem to be having here. Google has very few results on this specific problem which makes me think it's something very simple I'm missing.
