This actually makes a good bit of sense. Minersource sells HP, Dell, Delta etc Server PSUs. Their HP and Delta models are both 1000W+ PSUs (don't remember exactly what wattages). The issue here is that ATX PSUs capable of supplying the ~1200 watts (on the 12V rail alone, so think 1500W ATX PSU) each X3 unit requires could cost upwards of 300 USD. The ~1200W HP server PSU on the other hand is sub-100 USD. And can be sourced in bulk easier than consumer ATX PSUs. That's my guess anyway. The only issue I see here is the fact that high wattage server PSUs typically require 208-240V to run at full capacity. A lot of US customers (like myself) only have easy access to 110-120V circuits.
