I'm pondering the removal of the faucet more seriously now, the cost of it has significantly decreased but the incredible amount of support emails that center around the faucet itself or amounts under 0.0005 from faucet bettors along with a much larger userbase has decreased the quality of the support we can offer severely. Many argue that it must be removed as it lowers the quality of the chat and community as well.
What are the thoughts of everyone and if faucet is removed what should levels be used for?
Thanks

The key issue is what are the tradeoffs of the faucet? I'm glad the direct costs have come down. I like the PD faucet but use it a lot less, a lot lot less, than I used to before. However, I am also on PD a lot less. The faucet gives the site, especially its chat, the appearance of activity. Is this worth something? I think yes, it's sort of like seeing cars in a parking lot, clearly something is going on at the site, however, is it worth the costs, that is something only you can answer.
Maybe a solution is to make clear that "Faucet use is at your own risk. PD will no more tolerate complaints about us trying to give you free money or bets made with our free money than we will begging in chat." That would allow you to delete all the support posts about faucet issues, which I agree, are ridiculous.
Just-Dice did great without a faucet but it had investment and so there was a reason for people to check in to the site to see how their investments were doing. So I don't think the JD experience is a good analogy here.
Good Luck!
