I haven't found any reports of AM hardware catching fire. Not in hardware threads either. KfC however....thier chips catch fire occasionally, that is if you actually receive them (preorders from 3 months ago are just being produced, not even shipped yet)


check in CrazyGuy group buy thread. There are several examples of prisms catching fire

I checked, and there are some cases. The majority seem like just a blown cap or similar component failure, with some surrounding damage. But there seems to be at least one case of a real fire. Seems they have some problems with the design of the prism. Sad

this matter has also been covered by FC in his last update. BE200 failed. thats it.


Specificly, there were packaging issues that caused the chips to pop.. the actual chip design for BE200, athough with power/efficency issues, was not a 'failure'.
