All this is a result of lack of transparency.

Jason is not being victimised due to the fact that Jason is not the victim.
Jason is merely seeing a reaction, by Jason's victims, a reaction to Jason's own criminal endeavours.

if Jason does not see this, Jason is not as clever as Jason thought Jason was.
