If you need to sync your wallet and are stuck, here is what you can do to add peers automatically at launch:
(this explaination is for Windows, but is similar on other OSes as long as you change paths and filenames accordingly)

3. Right inside this folder, create a file called static-nodes.json

For those of you who can't sync the wallet, here are some peers (add them in the console):

Instructions to run masternode on linux:

1. Install chaincoind

2. Edit your chaincoin.conf file

3. Run chaincoind and wait for it to sync

chaincoind --daemon

4. Get an address and deposit 1000 CHC into it

chaincoind getaccountaddress 0

   Send exactly 1000 CHC to this address.

5. Get a masternode key

chaincoind masternode genkey

6. Stop chaincoind

7. Add to your chaincoin.conf file

port=9999
masternode=1
masternodeprivkey=
masternodeaddr=:9999

   You must have an IP that's connectable from the internet with port 9999 open.

8. Start chaincoind

9. Wait for chaincoind to sync and your 1000 CHC deposit to have 15 confirmations

10. Start your masternode

Cryptopia said they are adding, but they don't like using bootstraps.

My block time shows that transaction was initiated incorporated into a block at 36 seconds past the hour.

That's pretty damn dirty. Voting should have ended by that point.

Looks like the voting page is updating again as my recent 50k deposit has been added to the total. GRW is now at 421k DOT.

There are also no large transactions or multiple cumulative deposits to a single address since my last update (besides the latest 50k vote for GRW everything else is 2k or lower) so it looks like no one has tried to sneak in a last minute bid.

Ohh YEAH! Now GRW has 55231 DOT votes. This is starting to look gud.

I hope we wont fall on the finish line. :O 

As per above, GRW has been sent 1065, 494, and 50085.78291326 DOT in a 24 hour period, but ECC has only been sent 900. GRW's effective vote right now is at least 54195.78291326. I can't easily tell if the first two amounts were counted in the current displayed total - if not, then we're looking at 55.7k DOT for GRW, while ECC is at most 47.8k DOT.

I should stress that it's probably advisable not to leave this to the last minute. I sent the funds 2 hours ago, but the voting page hasn't yet reflected this (the block explorer is also only showing 28 confirms, when according to my client, the block the tx is in currently has 71 confirms). An earlier donation of 1000 DOT also took some time to appear. It may not matter, they may count all confirmed funds at the end, regardless of whether the total DOT amount on the page is up-to-date, but to be safe it's probably better to do it now, rather than later.

For all we know, there could be other coins which have a sizeable lead due to a recent DOT vote, but that lead is not yet showing on the voting page...
