I'm left a bit confused with the SuperNetwork IPO.

1) I had initially understood that BTCD would be the coin to unite other coins. That it would be the platform. But it seems it is not. Instead is it the SuperNet.
Given that the SuperNet is/will be greater than any other coin, does it make sense to buy BTCD when I can just buy SuperNet "shares" instead?
I can still see the value in BTCD, but it's importance seems to become reduced.

2) how will the SuperNet IPO dilution work?
Will the IPO mean 100% of SuperNet value? I mean if during the IPO 100 BTC are sold, then that means if I gave 1 BTC I will have 1% of the SuperNet shares?

3) what exactly will the SuperNet "shares" be?
It won't be a coin, so it must be something else.
With coins I know where I'm at. I can buy things and exchange for other coins.
But with derivatives, I have problems trusting them. THis both in crypto world and wall street world. They feel like gambling.
Where is the underlying value? Will the SuperNet "shares" give BTC dividends or something like it?

4) Am I correct in understanding that the SUperNet will act as an altcoin exchange? Cheaper than current altcoin exchanges?

Sorry for all the questions. But I'm having a hard time sinking in so much information and concepts. And I'm probably not the only one left confused.
Thanks.

Darkcoin tech is terrible, centralized and closed source.
Market have already started to figur out that Monero and cryptonote in general is superior technology.
That's why XMR is up this month while DRK is down almost 50%.

From which site did you capped that image?

James,

Don't want to sidetrack you too much, but your posts are interesting to read.

what are your thoughts on BitsharesX?

Do you see it as a competitor of NXT and BTCD?
Because of the TITAN anonymity and assets features.

Was thinking on putting 1/6 on BTSX, 1/6 on BTCD and 1/6 on BTC.
Leaving 3/6 of my fiat for maneuvering / recouping losses.

*Turing Complete Scripting in C

Does this imply the same capabilities than Ethereum talks about?
For example, can you script it such that you're paid for providing resources? like disk space

Teleport Technology
Has this anonymity feature been implemented and tested yet?

No linux wallet! Sad
Any chance to release the wallet source code?
(Any reason for not doing so?)

BTW, http://www.bitcoindark.org/ is offline

But yeah SEPA deposit will take 1-3 business days.

I was wondering if this was only my bank. But from what you say it's not.
Is it with all?

Because bitcoin.de expects a transfer to be made in 60 minutes.
How can this be?

Will also look into kraken and bittylicious.

This is subject for another thread, but those anti-laundering measures look like bullshit to me. But like you said, they have to do it or get closed.
But when you think about cash... enough said.

edit: bittylicious looks to be overpriced when compared to kraken

I'm finding a bit ironic that bitcoin supposedly enabling faster transactions becomes such an headache when you just want to buy a damn BTC.

All the sites I checked (apart from kraken, bitcoin.de and belgacoin) ask for the submission of paperwork.
If I buy something from Amazon, no such thing is asked.
I can't wait to hear when those paperwork demanding sites get hacked and personal information (passport info and address) is stolen.

I'll be doing SEPA transfers tomorrow and I'm yet to see how long that takes.
(And with belgacoin it results in unexpected bitcoin amounts since it's a direct buy, not a deposit)

Also, bitcoin.de registration failed as I got no verification code in my bank log.

Why does one have to submit to long delays and suffer from price changes (from the moment you say buy until it happens), as well as being subject to the price deltas from what can be seen on http://coinmarketcap.com/ ?

Is there no way to buy bitcoins with a credit card? Fast and easy.

Is there any other site besides moolah that allows buying DRK?
It says registrations are currently disabled.

Or should I buy one BTC (can I buy 0.5 BTC instead?) and then exchange it for DRK?

Disclaimer: noob located in Europe with 0 coins of any cryptocurrency.
(missed the BTC boat, kind of late for the DRK boat)

Unless I missed something exchange sites only allow exchanges between cryptocurrencies.
I registered at mintpal but don't see any way to add/use my credit card to buy coins.

Thanks

Important question: how did you hear about Darkcoin?
JL

I knew about BTC for a couple of years, but due to procrastination and life circumstances I never got into BTC.
When BTC got to $1000 USD news were out everywhere and it got my attention again.
Started checking the news, heard about ZeroCoin and I knew that the first true anonymous coin would have value. Like the first cryptocoin has.
It was either the wired article or with a zerocoin google search leading me here, that I discovered DRK.

But cryptocurrencies have a tremendous volatility. A single day can make a colossal difference.

Another question I have is:
if, or maybe when is more appropriate, BTC implements a mechanism for true anonymity (like Dark Wallet). What do you think it will happen to DRK?
Some may think this question is troll bait, but I think this is a reasonable question to ask.

For me BTC has value because it was the first, was able to capitalize on that and has several companies behind it.
LTC also has value. There are companies and funding behind it. Not to say it can't fail and die like 90% startups do, but we'll see.
DRK has value because like I said it's the first cryptocurrency that provides anonymity.
All the other currencies are vapor to me. Maybe there are some that have some unique features, but if they have they don't look to be relevant enough since "outsiders" don't know anything about them.

I think DRK will able to set its feet on solid land if it holds its advantage over BTC for some amount of time, let's several months.
But if BTC makes possible for true anonymity in the near future, what advantage will DRK have?

And regarding markets for buying BTC using fiat.
Which are the less bureaucratic, most reliable and fastest sites for doing that, for Europeans?
By fastest I mean I don't have to wait hours for the buy to happen nor for the transfer between wallets. And my email and CC are enough.

Is there any thread here or site that reviews/classifies trading sites? I don't want to trade with some other "mt. gox".

Thanks
