I see many people so scared to risk a little and dump their coins. Without risk there can be no reward. "Whales be scared"

We are at the dawn of a new era - that of the digital currency, where big cooperations and governments no longer control *our* money. Money is a symbol of our labour, work, effort and much more, yet it is always being devalued.

It is good to see teams of people working on new updates and different types of currency.

The fact is - any digital currency that has an active dev team and that listen to the people will be a currency going somewhere good and with that comes a value increase.

Darkcoin is one of said currencies.

Re: Pictures of your mining rigs!

Most PDU manufactures max rating is 32amps.

Those miners are 1600w each.
9*1600 - 14.4kw per rack.

At 230volts thats 62.6amps per rack.

So 2x 32amp PDUs required....

Since that appears to be 3 phase power, each phase would have a draw of 3*1600=4800W/phase.

At 230 volts, that is 20.1 Amps per phase.

So something like this 32 Amp PDU should work. (Don't know about price; probably not cheap.)

Correct, but the problem with the device you linked too is that you max out the "whole" PDUs urrent rating, Unless the whole device is rated at 32amps per phase, and not the whole device, which is highly unlikely, thus you need to split the devices plugged into two separate PDUs, as to not trip the devices over current protection.

Why on Earth would you think they would use PDUs? they are limiting in a high power usage environment plus the cost is horrific compared to Rack mounted Switchboards.

Maybe because it is safe? Maybe because it is more convenient? Maybe because every decent data-center uses PDUs?

Anyway, it is your farm, your gear, your power:)

My opinion is still the same, one lame and unprofessional setup. Oh, thanks for mentioning, also a cheap one. So lame, cheap and unprofessional.

I completely agree that PDUs are safe and convenient, but are costly.

And the simple fact is mining operations need to keep setup costs low.

Outfitting 40-60 racks (from the looks of the photo they roughly that many) - (Parts only)

2k For 2 PDUs
$220 for MCBs

Totals

PDUs - 80k-120k
MCBs - $8800-$13200

thats alot of spare miners.

Some pictures of our mining rig Grin

Do not you have enough money from your pre-orders to buy some PDUs? Hope you don't burn the warehouse with all the rigs inside...

This is one lame and unprofessional setup from a H/W manufacturer...

It's electrically correct for a 3-phase system even for north american standards.

Why on Earth would you think they would use PDUs? they are limiting in a high power usage environment plus the cost is horrific compared to Rack mounted Switchboards.

- MCB's

1X Schneider Electric 3 Ø Main Switch will a Standard 64amp 230/240 Volt. - $122 from our local electrical supplier.
10X Schneider Electric MCB 10amp 230/240v breaker - $4-12 each.
1X Schneider Electric Inline watt meter - $26
10X IEC320 C13 Plugs (Jug Plug) - $1.2
1M Din rail

About 10 bucks in flexi cable

Roughly $220 bucks all up per rack, Thats 10 racks outfitted with Switchboard Mounted racks vs 1 outfitted with 2 PDUs.

Logic ....

Source code: https://github.com/iquidus/KiwiCoin

So, i was running the block explorer. I've tried to contact the dev to get everything required to take over properly however have not received any response.

Now that so much time has passed i'm not sure if there is any point keeping this coin alive, it needs a fresh start with a new blockchain, or needs to be a new coin altogether. In saying that, if someone does take over, i'll be happy to help where possible.

Why does it need a new blockchain? we can just take over the existing chain, many have mined coins and the devs dump has distributed a lot of coins.

IMO the best option is to just take over the coin as a community and start moving forward.

Correct, this coin is a great community coin, time to start moving forward.

Hey Team, Here is the original zipped 1.2.1 file I saved when I Downloaded it, I am sorry I don't have the source code, please do check the file with your antivirus.

It does say "0.8.6.0-" in the about QT though, so not sure what the dev was up too.

TripleHeXXX is a Registered NZ crypto-company, we could take over if no one else wants too.

We can arrange Pools, Nodes, Website, android wallet same as our other NZ coin (KimDotCoin)

Brillant! You have my vote! - What will happen to all mined coins so far?

I think the best option would be to hardfork the coin with a new release so we can take over development without the original dev jumping back in and profiting again if we pull this out of the grave.

So with that in mind, no point hard forking without adding anything new, so ant feature request, things you the community want added?

Peace.  Cool

Good Idea, It is quite clear the dev has scammed us, I would be happy if said team took over the coin, you have my Vote.
But A question, - all investors/bag holders, will they be able to retain their coins, after said hardfork?

All existing coins will stay as they are, we will just take over development.

I will get some time this weekend and for the source to our repository and get some wallets compiled and uploaded to a website.

Then we can start active development.

BREAKING NEWS.

Kiwicoin will live!

Great news, I offer my assistance if required.

To start off test with linux, Burn PIMP onto a flash drive and boot up, if it shows up with the correct amount of GPUs, then its a windows/driver issue your having on your main build.

Bittrex currently has KiwiCion on the removal list for Friday, June 27th.

In order to keep this coin listed please explain any upcoming improvements to the coin that will generate community interest.  We try to keep coins that have community interest.  However, this coin has fallen below an average of .1 BTC Daily volume.  Coins below this threshold have been marked for removal.  We will weigh all information before making our final decision.

Thanks all,

Ryan @ Bittrex

Fair Call, as the dev has vanished, but it looks like the coin may be taken over by another dev.

As we wrote an article about KiwiCoin we notice that less and less activity from DEV after some big dumps . Also the coin it's almost dead . It's sorry to see it gone because we really trusted the developer that it won't do bad stuff with it but seems we where wrong .

A team needs to be put together. I can provide hashing power, but need an operating coin.

This has got to be the biggest scamcoin i've ever seen. Obviously photoshopped "Call" UI that doesn't even make sense (you say # will be wallet address, then why would I want a dial pad?). Not to mention, how the hell will you do Anonymous-VOIP? Certainly not over the insanely slow and lagged Tor network. End to end ecryption? Ok Sure, but you still have known endpoints - not anonymous.

Run, don't walk, away from this coin.

(PS: Im launching SuperVeilCoin next week, we're going to do Anonymous VOIP Video calling. Working on the photoshopped QT wallet with a iPhone Facetime UI pasted in.)

You're wrong good sir.

This coin will success.

It use quantum teleportation to get information from one wallet to the other without going through any network.

Making it essentially so innovative it will revolutionize the way we crypto.

I say buy buy buy and lose the money as devs dump.

As the good Sir above states, the Coin Uses Quantum Teleportation, L0L.

-Sarcasm.
