Re: What indication will this rise bring
by
50ouncebrew
on 12/07/2018, 09:00:48 UTC
I don't think that it brings any indication. If all the years I have spent in crypto has amounted to anything, it has shown me that every little increase in price does not mean that the market is going into a recovery. A lot of the times, it means that the price is going to plummet again which is what happened. It could take another couple of weeks for us to see a price recovery.

Re: ICO is still legit?

If you are looking to find a legit ico then you have to be ready to research. It might kill a good amount of time but in the end it will be worth it. When you see an  ICO that you are interested in investing in then the next thing you should do is research into the coin. Look at their website, their product, the team behind the coin, the roadmap, their vision for the coin and how they plan to keep the project going.

Re: how to protect your wallet myetherwallet.com ???
by

You should only be using online wallets when you have no other choice, hardware wallets are still the better choice. But to keep your online wallet as safe as possible is not very hard. Just make sure that you never store your private keys online in a place where hackers can get to them. As long as no one can get your private key then they cannot get into your wallet.

If you have lost your private key then i am sorry to tell you that there is no way that you are getting back whatever coins were stored in that account. This was put in place to protect you so when you lose you private key there is no way for you to access your wallet either. It's bittersweet. You will just have to move on and start building your portfolio again.

Re: What is the best criteria to judge a good bounty
by
50ouncebrew
on 09/07/2018, 10:17:31 UTC
I usually check the following factors to determine whether a particular bounty is worth participating in or not.

- Development team background
- Campaign manager
- Social media interactions by the development team
- Whitepaper analysis
- Website
- Number of participants and bounty fund

I research these factors thoroughly before joining any bounty on this forum which is the primary reason I have not been scammed till now. Do your research carefully people.

This is what I was going to say. And you even added a few more points than I would have. These are the things that you should be looking for to check if a project is legit or not. Extensive research is always the best way to find out where a project is headed. Also one more thing, the bounty manager matters just as much as the bounty itself, if the bounty manager cannot be trusted then the bounty cannot be trusted.

Re: Is it worth buying low-volume tokens?
by
50ouncebrew
on 09/07/2018, 10:10:40 UTC
It really depends on the kind of coin that you are buying and the price at which you are buying it from. It is true that with low volume coins the price rise easily but that also means that is it quite easy for these coins to be manipulated too. Make sure that you are not buying the coin when it is in a bull and also make sure that it is a project that will last for a while.

Re: Could this be the sign of bull run?
by
50ouncebrew
on 07/07/2018, 12:42:00 UTC
it is possible that we shall soon be in a bull run soon because btc and all cryptocoins have seen all their worst days in this year and the market has seen its worst days as well so personally i beleive it is time to go on to the other side of it.The bull run soon.
You might be right. We have hit really low prices in the past couple of months so that means that the worse might be behind us, if that is true then the next thing that we should be looking forward to would be the next bull run. We all know that when networks get congested, it means that more volumes of coins are being transacted now which means more demand. Demand is good for the prices.

Re: should now sell coin or not

I don't see any reason why you sell the coins you have. if the coins were at a good price then I would have told you that you should sell the coins  but now when the market is experiencing a dip. You should be patient, hodl the coins that you have. I understand that it is not easy to watch the value of your coins plummet but you have to be patient so you can get maximum profit when you sell.

Re: What would you do if the altcoin price dumped?
by
50ouncebrew
on 06/07/2018, 11:28:32 UTC
So far I have not done anything with my altcoins, they are lying on my wallet and that's all. To sell them now there is no sense, because the price for them and so below is nowhere, and in general the market sank and everything costs, let's say, inexpensively. Because they are still on their wallet and are waiting for their time. They will rise in price, then I will look and think about what to do with them. But I do not really recommend selling now.
This is what I think too. There is nothing that I would be able to do if the prices of the coin dumps other than just waiting it out. If the price does not go up there would be no need for me to sell seeing as I would be selling at a loss which will affect me. Before I invested in my altcoins I knew there was a possibility that the prices would dump.

Re: 2018 is the year of altcoins
by
50ouncebrew
on 06/07/2018, 11:07:54 UTC
I cannot disagree, despite the bear market that we have been stuck in for a couple of months, this has been a really good year for altcoins. So many new altcoins have come out and the ones that were left in the market seem to be doing well. Well some of them at least because there are coins that have died out over the past couple of months, all in all though it's been a good year for altcoins.

A lot of people are now using icos as the new way to crowdfund for their business ideas instead of having to go to individual investors they can just make a coin and get a bunch of people to invest towards the success of the project. There is also the fact that there is a lot of money to be made from icos and people are now using it as a get rich quick scheme

Re: Russia is going to accept crypto!
by

Not surprised one bit hearing news like this. Russia is always one of the firsts when it comes to accepting revolutionary technology. It is no surprise that they are going to accept cryptos. Also I think that the government might have figured out a way to tax the earnings that are gotten from cryptocurrencies which might be the reason that they are accepting it.

Re: Wallets for altcoins
by
50ouncebrew
on 04/07/2018, 18:30:06 UTC
The wallet that you will use depends on the kind of altcoin that you are talking about holding, if they are erc20 tokens then a wallet from a website like myetherwallet would be the best way for you to go. With some altcoins though, the creators provide their own wallets along with the coins so you would have to get the wallet from them to safe guard your coins

Re: Suggestions please,

You should make sure that the bounty campaigns that you are participating in are those ones that are being managed by managers that people already know for being involved in good campaigns. If you are involved in a campaign where the person that is managing it is not well known then there is a chance that the coin is a scam so be careful

Re: ALTCOINS going green!
by

The market have seemed to recovered a bit since yesterday, bitcoin did go up by a couple of hundred dollars and this increase in price no matter how small it might seem is having some impact on the prices of the altcoins in the market. From now on all we can do is to keep our fingers crossed and hope that the price recovery continues so there can be an end to this dip

Re: When do you think alt coin market will crash?
by
50ouncebrew
on 03/07/2018, 09:59:41 UTC
I don't think that the altcoin market will crash, what will happen will be that the altcoins that are scams will end up dying out with time when people stop investing in them. A lot of the altcoins in the market right now will end up failing due to them not having a good product to offer to the investors which will be used for the long term so projects like this will crash

Re: ETH Gas Fee Super High Now!
by
50ouncebrew
on 02/07/2018, 12:46:40 UTC
What you should do is to set the gas price to the value that you want it to be. You do not have to use the gas price that is pre set there. It might go through slower if you reduce the gas price but that does not mean that it will not go through. Prices are still low so you do not have to worry about your transactions not going through because of an increase in transaction volume

Re: Token bounty must hold or sell?

It really depends on the token bounty that you got and the project that is behind the token that you got as reward. If it is a good project then by all means you should hold the coins and wait for the price of the coins to go up before you can sell but if it is one of those scams projects that you know will never do good then you should sell them the first chance that you get

Re: Does hoarding really hurt Bitcoin?
by
50ouncebrew
on 29/06/2018, 07:40:30 UTC
It does not hurt bitcoin, rather it increases the value because if a lot of people are hoarding the coins then there is a lesser supply in circulation which means that more there will be more demand than supply in the market. This is what drives the prices of coins, if there is more supply in the market than there is demand for the coins then the prices will be low

Re: What is going on actually??
by
50ouncebrew
on 28/06/2018, 08:55:13 UTC
What is going on is that people are selling their coins and taking way too much money out of the market which is the reason that the prices of the coins are dropping. This is why we tell people to stop panic selling. Once the whales start manipulating the market and people start panic selling then they are doing the job of the whales for them and helping them drive the prices further down
