guess you will be needin to create a new wallet file and it will then be an HD wallet. then you send out the funds from old wallet to new wallet, only way to migrate I think!!!
don't forget to backup your old wallet in case something goes wrong!!!!

I guess I would rely with these because he is Portugese. He knows a lot better than us. If there are just few people there that is still not counted as a growth for bitcoin. Maybe worst could happen if they use it in different ways.

o nosso sistema bancário é dos mais avançados em termos de meios de pagamento, felizmente. O MBWAY é prova disso, e para o comércio tradicional tem tudo para ser melhor aceite do que qualquer plataforma sobre bitcoin.
Para os serviços que realmente requerem bitcoin, ter como intermediários os bancos é uma necessidade/eventualidade, seja para quem negoceia bitcoins e depois as vende em ATM, seja para quem compra em outros serviços de compra de bitcoin por intermédio dos "bancos tradicionais" (i.e. MBWAY, depósitos e transferências bancárias).
E não venham com argumentos de privacidade/anonimidade, porque embora em portugal não seja preciso, em muitos países da Europa e do mundo é necessário um documento identificativo, selfie ou impressão digital para utilizar uma ATM de bitcoins, por motivos de KYC.

a questão é essa, evitar ao máximo o sistema bancário. MBWAY tem as bases totalmente assentes no sistema bancário e os utilizadores estão em contacto com ele: quem compra tem de enviar o fiat para uma conta e esperar que o dinheiro caia lá e quem vende é que envia os bitcoins e acabou. numa ATM, claro que as notas que lá estão têm de vir de um banco, mas quem compra, chega lá, deita a nota que entretanto já saiu do banco ou que já tem em mãos e a partir daí negoceia por um exchange
o problema é que o Core opõe-se a aumentar agora para 8 MB.... só aceitam aumentar agora para 2 e até 8 em 2020. aí é que está a discussão...
se assim for já é um começo bom... mas 2MB não vão chegar para sempre, e eles vão ter de propor uma "scaling solution" ou um aumento maior
