If bitcoin is indeed used by majority for illegal transactions, it will surely meet its end.

That's why one of responsibilities is to look for each other and report any known illegal activities made tru bitcoin.

Do you think that spending time and effort to gain bitcoins is a rational idea? Do you think that you could've been wasting your time?

everybody wants to eat, but no one wants to hunt.

Everybody wants to earn easy money with minimal effort of work. If you really want to earn bitcoin, keep on reading topics and threads in this forum.

You really won't earn bitcoins if you're not knowledgeable enough about it.

Cool

Pointing out those teachings doesn't make your beliefs any better. Regardless of any religion, the decision on how to treat others relies on ourselves.

There would be no winner on religious debate as it only promotes hate towards others.

Just be kind to everyone, that's the general rule of most people would understand

Do you think bounty hunters are a job in your spare time, additional income or is it the main job and the main income of people?

It is a job. And like most jobs require you to do, you need to contribute to this forum by giving high quality of posts.

Joining bounties is a privilege for those members who's proven their worth in the community by gaining merits or ranking up. I know bounties requires minimum posts too but we should be responsible enough to give high quality posts than spamming just to meet the requirements.

Being able to join in bounties is a privilege. Forum moderators do their jobs to give a quality service by eliminating/ minimizing useless threads or posts.

Just think of it this way, if your applying for corporate job and have no knowledge about it, why would the hire you?

Read and gain knowledge so you could have good posts, earn merit and be able to join bounties. That's the best we can do to contribute in the forum.

Re: Why all people moan about the price of bitcoin?
by

I believe in bitcoin and as much as I would like to help promote bitcoin, it has now served as an investment for most users rather than a currency.

Less people try to use it for transactions these days so some merchants might not see it as a service to attract customer.

You can as well make profit in crypto with small capital if only you have the patience to hold and wait for the time when the market is booming.

That's what people need in everything they do. With most economies situation nowadays it's always good to have several sources of income and relying only with bitcoin could really make you impatient as it won't give you a regular income.

Re: Why Cryptocurrency threatens governments

Another crypto-threat-to-government thread. Smiley

governments will never be threatened by cryptocurrencies as they could easily reject and prohibit their people from using it. Like what they do on middle eastern countries where they blocked porn sites.

If bitcoin can't be regulated, chances are it won't be accepted in the country because according to some politicians "it's not safe and secured"

This new merit system hits a lot of us in the ballsack and expressing your dismay on the new merit system is not on the meta section. Just posted my opinion and immediately someone considered it a shitpost, and even humiliated me and I didn't even said it was a wrong step for the admins.  Grin

Anyways just good to see fellow demoted users here! Cheers Smiley

Eventually newbie are in meta board due to Enhanced newbie restrictions & requirements . Usually we can't see newbie on this board and never contribute something. However I want to give special thanks to theymos for implement new rules. During long time we was asked for it. We can see many post on meta that most of people especially newbie aren't satisfied. But I can't see anything wrong for good poster as well theymos added more 36 merit source.
Quote
There are 120 merit sources with a total merit generation of up to 23045 sMerit per 30 days

I believe that's enough for handle current situation. I want to say to newbie, don't be panic. Use your time to contribute your best for forum instead of made accusation. It's time to change your posting behaviour. Concentrate to your work how you can help forum. It will be better for you and also for forum.

On the other hand I would like to request merit sources and smerit holders to spend your merit to help newbie (except one line spammers) on current situation. Obviously there are few users that deserve 1 merit by the way. Merit source should be little bit soft for newbie (except one liner or spammer). Rules are implement to build decent forum not to make disappointed people's.

Personally I am wondering to help some if newbie except spammer. Also I would like to request whoever still now never spend initial smerit, it's time to help forum now. Hold smerit will not bear any benefits for you, but it can help many people's.

Your post will be well appreciated by grieving users (like me) who just lost their ranks.

I read a lot of threads with different opinions and sentiments and find the new system reasonable. It's a pain in the ass but understandable.

I'm a bounty hunter too and english is not my 1st language but I'm trying to sweat my brains out just to give good quality posts.

Seen a lot of disappointed users too, don't give up. We're like fat people hitting the gym, trying to be shape and healthy. Smiley

Re: Before you give merit to a newly-demoted newbie...

Good point. But doesn't that remove the liberty of the merit sources (which the admins chosen) to give merits base from their own judgement or criteria?
...

This makes no sense whatsoever, but since you exercised the poor judgment to wander into this thread in the first place despite a post history that even a mother couldn't love...

Post #349 in "Germany recognized the bitcoin" [sic]:

Germany recognizing bitcoin would give a big impact. The country is known to produce good quality of products that is recognized in the world market and a a market player recognizing bitcoin would be big.

Hope there's a link or source for this claim though.

Post #898 in "Factors that affect the value of bitcoin":

FUD's plays a big factor. These could scare away possible investors and the current ones tend to sell their coins/tokens to "avoid further loss", thus making overflowing amount of supply in the market.

Etc.

Feel proud of yourself huh? With your 1588 posts and only 117 merit? I guess opposing your opinion will result to shaming. Is this one of your ways to get merit?

Good luck with that  Smiley

...please make sure their post history is not filled with 1-2 line replies in spam megathreads (or bounty reports, of course).

For example, Delphinus awarded crocus a merit point to get him out of newbie hell after reviewing his post history:

Here you go. I've gone through your post history. You're posts aren't perfect, but it's pretty clear you're a real account with a long post history of on-topic comments.
Definitely deserve to be a jr. member  Smiley

Wow I've got merit thanks sir for checking my post history, I will post more quality post to have a great and helpful community.

While crocus can string together words into an intelligible sentence or two, most, if not all, of his/her replies are merely rehashing what a thousand other people (or bots) have said on the hundreds of other pages in these spam megathreads.

Good point. But doesn't that remove the liberty of the merit sources (which the admins chosen) to give merits base from their own judgement or criteria?

Merit system is subjective but efficient way to maximize quality posts, I agree to that. I just felt sad to see my account to newbie again. Sad

Ok. Let's say I had a sr member account before which was "accidentally" given negative trust by someone I don't know. I contacted every admin of this forum and said that they're sorry but they can't do anything about that.

That account was created before merit system was implented and I had no choice but to create a new account for me to join signature bounties.

And with the merit system implemented, it seems impossible to have that account again.

Anyways there's no other way but abide by the new merit system or leave if you don't like it. Right?

As of today, market has slightly increased. But even stocks market have been declining for the past few months. These could also be the reason why cryptocurrencies have been struggling.

It will recover soon, hopefully not until all of our patience have run out. Smiley

I don't see anything wrong focusing on bounty campaigns. I join bounties as well as buy alt coins that I see to have potential.

But my strategy is to join bounty first before buying coins/token. It somehow gives me information about the project through communities and bounty channel in telegram.

One of the best way to invest into stock market is with technology and cryptocurrencies are technology that majority of people have not yet embraced so far.

We should give it more time, even stocks market are struggling right now.

I doubt that ethereum would lose it's value to zero as a lot of coins use its platform. Market these days are raining in red even in the stocks market. Asian countries for example is in inflation which might been also causing the market's struggle.

Good point but you should've have at least said that venturing to crypto is somehow similar to venturing in business. That it requires a lot of patience for you to succeed.

Aside from that you can never say that you're secured for lifetime in a job as many companies have closed already, some are even giant companies.
