Is anybody ever concerned about freebitcoins liquidity and financial situation in a bear market?

I want to preface this by saying I've used freebitcoin for YEARS and never, ever had a problem with them. I've made a substantial amount from referrals and a very nice amount from interest.

However, given the events that are currently unfolding at Celsius (withdrawals paused, insolvency, possibly bankruptcy), does anybody ever wonder how a severe bear market will affect freebitcoins financial situation?

Although unlikely, we might see Bitcoin drop below 10k in the coming months, how would this effect freebitcoins ability to pay it's user. In my head, I think their situation is different, but they also offer 4.08% interest on users balance, not a huge number but certainly not the miserable 1% a commercial bank would give you.

I've had similar thoughts as you over the past few days, but ultimately came to the conclusion that FreeBitcoin would *probably* be fine. If I were to guess, their main revenue stream is from operating casino(s), which traditional CeFi doesn't have. Thus, a lot of their profits depend on how much is wagered, and if you look at the historical data on sites on like bustabit, the total wagered amount in BTC remains fairly stable through bear markets. Their revenues being in BTC would make it easier to pay interest on BTC. FUN token also looks to be doing fairly decent.

(disclamer: this is not financial advice)

The reason that price drops don't affect our liquidity is that the interest we pay is in the same currency. We paid 0.117 BTC in interest yesterday and it doesn't make any difference to us if that's at $20k or $40k because the income is also in BTC. eg if a customer wants to spend $100 buying BTC to gamble with they are going to have twice as much BTC to gamble with now.

Thanks for the response, TheQuin.

I've also been thinking about the stability of freebitco.in over the past few days/week like others here and I guess I've independently come to the same conclusion that it should be ok, for now? I'd be a lot more concerned if freebitco.in was a faucet and interest accruing wallet and nothing else. But over the years since I've been using them they've definitely evolved to become more of a sportsbook (I assume they take some vig even though it's parimutuel betting? not sure) and casino + much more in some ways and I'm not really worried about the fiat and crypto-sportsbooks/casinos becoming insolvent/bankrupt during a bear market so that gives me some solace. I think freebitco.in used to be big into mining as well, but I gather that's stopped at some point or is a much less significant portion of their profits currently? Not sure.

Long time freebitco.in user here, my Instant Pending Payout is under manual review for up to 24 hours. Can someone please review it and hopefully approve it ASAP as long as it meets criteria on your end. I PM’ed TheQuinn, not sure if anyone else handles this. Thank you.

I just did instant withdrawal and there is note saying the process can take up to 24 hours Huh??

I really need this money to be sent right away.... Can I know why this is taking so long Huh

The note also tells you that it is for security reasons. It helps us keep our customers' funds secure by having a system in place to help spot account hacking and abuse. The automated systems aren't perfect so we don't use them to ban accounts, they just flag suspicious activity for manual review. That means a few customers who aren't doing anything wrong get inconvenienced by a delay but overall since we introduced the system it has helped us cut losses to botters dramatically and prevent a lot of customer losses from hacking.

Long time freebitco.in user here, just noticed my Instant Pending Payout(s) are under manual review for up to 24 hours. I have read this response and appreciate the security measures taken to protect all users, but is there any way to expedite this approval process? Like entering my 2FA code or you guys verifying my account through email confirmation or anything? Kind of needed these transactions to go through ASAP, hence the "Instant" withdrawal option was selected.

Really have to reconsider the amount of BTC I hold in my freebitco.in wallet if Instant Payouts moving forward can arbitrarily take up to 24 hours for a "security review".

Thanks.

Why and how does a node get "stuck"? Didn't know that could happen. Is that something you guys handle on your end at freebitco.in or is it a blockchain issue where all we can do is wait?

I can't give a definitive answer until wetsuit has fixed it and gets back to me but why does any computer stop working from time to time? The possibilities are endless but it could be out of memory, a hardware fault, power failure, internet connection gone down or just someone at the hosting facility pulled the wrong cable out.

I see. Thanks for the explanation. My transaction broadcasted and is getting confirmed. Thank you.

Is something going on with Instant Payouts/Withdrawals now? My most recent one is still pending on my account and it's been more than 1+ hour...

There does seem to be a technical issue. I've messaged wetsuit to get him to take a look. Probably the node has stuck and needs a reboot.

Ok, thank you for looking into it. My Instant Payout still pending for 7.5 hours now, hasn't even broadcasted to the blockchain so I figured it wasn't a fee issue. I hope this gets resolved soon...

Ok, it's now 3+ hours since I sent the request for my Instant Payout and it's still pending/hasn't even been sent out to the blockchain yet. What is going on? Please advise. Thank you.

Re: Nitrobetting.eu - Unmatched BTC Betting and Entertainment 🎰📈🏀⚾🏈⚽

If I have an account at nitrogensports am I allowed to bet on nitrobetting.eu?
You should read the article thoroughly, provided by @Haunebu above and here is the link for that one

https://bitedge.com/blog/everything-you-need-to-know-about-nitro-betting-nitrogen-sports-new-site/

It's state that the both the sites will be operating side by side and Nitrogen have just started a new site where you can have you different account created maybe for only US players only. They have also merited this thread which shows it's their subsidiary casino. But always have a proper look before depositing any funds over there.

(1) I have the same question as the OP and I don't feel the answers have been satisfactory. Could a mod or representative from Nitrobetting.eu please clarify: are we allowed to have and use (deposit/bet/withdraw) both a Nitrogen Sports account AND a Nitrobetting.eu account at the same time without penalty/punishment? I'm mainly asking because the 100% deposit match bonus up to a maximum of 50 mBTC is appealing to me, which is why I'm considering opening an account at Nitrobetting.eu, but I already have a Nitrogen Sports account that I actively use with some pending wagers/futures.

(2) For this 100% deposit match bonus up to a maximum of 50 mBTC as advertised here (https://nitrobetting.eu/promotions/), I just wanted to confirm that the rollover is indeed 30x for this deposit bonus, meaning that if I deposit 50 mBTC and receive a 50 mBTC bonus, I'll have to do 3000 mBTC ([50 + 50] x 30) worth of sports wagers to finish the rollover, is that correct?

(3) What is the timeframe to achieve this rollover or can we take as long as we want? Does the smaller of the risk/win of our wagers count towards our rollover and does it differ if we are wagering on favorites at minus odds or underdogs at plus odds?

Thank you.

The bitcoin mempool is CRAZY right now. Sent out a transaction via my freebitco.in wallet, feels like it may pend till next week if not longer given it only was sent with a fee at ~54 sat/B. Is there any way I could pay freebitco.in to do replace-by-fee (RBF) or some other acceleration method? I'm not the recipient, so I can't do child-pays-for-parent (CPFP).

Anything? Thanks.

We found out what the problem was. We use the average of 3 different fee estimators and one of them (btc.com) has got stuck and not updated for 2 days which meant the average was too low. The good thing about that is that the fees btc.com are charging on their transaction accelerator are also low right now so we got most of the stuck transactions through.

Thanks, TheQuin! My transaction from about 31 hours ago got confirmed sometime recently. I also appreciate the links you shared and you taking the time to explain the situation. Cheers!

Thanks for the explanation @TheQuin. Well, I guess all I can do is....wait. Hopefully it gets at least ONE confirmation in the next few hours? Who knows.

The queue is clearing quite quickly now so if that continues it will be soon now.

Any chance you guys would let us customize our fees in the future to prevent a situation like this? For really urgent transactions (like this one), I would have willingly and intentionally selected an absurdly high transaction fee to ensure it something like this didn't happen.

We have low transaction fees because we consolidate all our deposits and batch together withdrawals making the amount of data for each user's share in each transaction smaller. That does mean that all user's transactions are dependant on each other. To allow individual users to choose fees independently would mean we have to change the entire system resulting in higher fees for everyone. It's a balancing act between faster confirmations and higher fees and we think with the nature of our site the majority would opt for lower fees and the occasional wait.

That makes sense. Thank you for the response/explanation. I appreciate it. My transaction was confirmed so all is good. Thank you.

Anyone else's instant withdrawal been pending for a LONG time? Mine is still unconfirmed after 6+ hours, and normally it's been very fast with freebitco.in (like less than 1 hour to get at least ONE confirmation with an instant withdrawal). Looking at the transaction on the blockchain, it looks like a really low fee was used, like 19-20 sat/Byte. Why is the instant withdrawal this time so much slower and seemingly such a low fee used as opposed to the other 95% of instant withdrawals I've done with freebitco.in in the past?

Can I do anything to speed it up? Feels like I have to wait many more hours, maybe even a day or more?

Thanks.
Better try to reach out support and tell them about this issue or here check if @TheQuin or @freebitco.in PR available then send them message surely they will try to solve your issue and you will able to have your instant withdrawal very quickly.

Hm...ok. I sent them a message. Thanks.
