What is the ETA on receiving HVN tokens from Hive-project.net after providing withdrawal address? I've added the "Add custom token" on MyEtherWallet:

I would agree with you on this but the markets have been getting increasingly ridiculous lately. On the base of it BCC or BCH as it's now termed is a fork with plans similar to that of Dash. Dash has already made countless updates, has a sizeable budget, road map for the future updates, strong development team etc etc. Yet BCC/BCH is now 800% higher than Dash in terms of market capital one day after fork without a decent usable wallet.

Bitcoin Unlimited's plans of on chain scaling whilst are the correct solution cannot be done without incentivised nodes as altruism can only go so far. As the blocks increase in size so does the cost of running the blockchain along with the hardware requirements to run the node.

Why can't the development team see these seemingly obvious issues? I believe it to be greed and they seem to have lost sight of the purpose of why we started Bitcoin in the first place. Not to get rich but to free the world of central banks and fiat currencies.

My wallet is showing offline and doesn't seem to be downloading blockchain data. Any ideas what is causing this and a fix?

Can someone confirm is the coins required for masternode set at 150,000? Is this number fixed or is there plans to change this in the future should the coins price per unit increase?

Yep, it just did :-) reading this thread was indeed very entertaining. I don't understand why many Bitcointalk members have such a negative view on Dash. It's better than Bitcoin in every conceivable way. The only difference currently is that Bitcoin is easier to buy with fiat currency. Once that changes expect to see Dash #1 on coinmarketcap. There are many alt currencies which have improved on Bitcoin but as I said Bitcoin does so well because you need Bitcoin to purchase altcoins for the most part.

I'm just glad that people like Evan saw how the climate was changing quicker than most as otherwise crypto currencies wouldn't work if we had Bitcoin alone due to a myriad of issues. I'd also like to point out I'm typing this having been a Bitcoin maximalist myself. All alt-coin investors were once Bitcoin maximalists first. Bitcoin once had over 99% of the market in terms of market capitalization.

I'm curious to find out if anybody in the UK has thought about this process or indeed has tried it. If there is anybody clued up on taxation laws or has accounting experience to shed some light on this that would be much appreciated.

Basically the idea is that, it is now possible to purchase precious metals with Bitcoin. There are many services available that a Google search will find. The reason this is beneficial to do is Gold Bullion coins struck by the Royal Mint are CGT (capital gains tax) exempt in the UK as they are legal tender.

Typically when an asset is sold you would deduct the initial cost of the asset from the profit and calculate the tax from the remaining balance if there is a remaining balance. For example; if you acquire 10 BTC at £200 per coin and the price goes up to £2000 per coin then you would deduct the initial £2000 from the new figure of £20000. Then with the remaining £18000 you'd deduct your allowance and the tax would be due on the remaining balance at the tax rate that applies 18/28% respectively.

GBP > BTC [profit] > GBP [pay CGT]

If however in this scenario you purchased CGT exempt gold with your bitcoin(s) and sold them then no tax would be due.

GBP > BTC [profit] > Gold > GBP

In exchanging BTC for Gold you're not 'selling' your Bitcoin you are exchanging one asset for another asset of equal value.

The problem is as a wallet address is associated to a person everything you've done and are yet to do can be traced. There are ways to regain anonymity but it wont be easy for the average user. I don't see this as a real problem today but in the future when this information is easily accessible companies will use your personal private information against you. There have been situations like this already; Target for example found out a mans young daughter was pregnant due to her buying patterns matching those of a pregnant woman before he even knew.

Unless a solution to these situations is found this could become a real problem. I can see it effecting insurance to mortgage rates and a multitude of other things.

Congratulations to Evan, the rest of the team and the entire community for making Darkcoin what it is today. I'm literally blown away by the potential this technology built into Darkcoin now has to change the world. I've updated my Masternodes to the latest version 0.11.1.19, they're all 'Hot Cold' wallets. The current block is showing as being stuck on 204573 on the VPS but is all up to date on Windows wallet side. I've tried restarting the VPS but it is still sticking. Has anyone else experienced this or has a solution? Thanks

All my Masternodes were showing up with the Safe mode error last night on the current version (0.11.0.11). I started with -reindex and remove peers.dat and did a grep on them all. Everything was fine for around 12 hours but they're now showing up with the same error again. Is this a known issue? Just wondering whether it's worth reindexing again or just wait for 0.11.0.12.
