If we do it next week, we still get paid the December bounty? I'm waiting for new copy of passport in the mail. Maybe it will arrive tomorrow, or in a couple of weeks. Can I still do KYC for December is my application is approved in 2 weeks, or we lose that month?

Re: Can I hold my altcoin for years in my wallet?
by

on 12/07/2018, 09:12:31 UTC
Absolutely. You can hold your coins for however long you wish, just make sure that you properly secure the wallet so no one else but you can get into it. I am guessing that if you are planning to hold the coins for a couple of years then that means that you will not be checking on your coins all the time, I would advise that you get a hardware wallet for storing your coins for such a long period of time.

Re: what to do when the market is weakening now
by
Agamemnus
on 12/07/2018, 09:05:19 UTC
What you can do is be patient. You can buy more coins if you have the money to do so, as the prices are now very low. What you should not do is panic sell your coins, that way you will only end up with losses. This is all a part of the investment process, prices go up and then they go down. Buy when the market is red, if you cannot buy then hold onto the coins that you already have and wait for it to pass.

Re: Cryptocurrency prices falling

I think that anyone who has been in the market for a while knew that this fall was coming. There is no way that cryptos grow as much as they did at the end of last year and at the beginning of this year that they do not end up falling in prices again. The reason that they are limiting crypto advertising though is because a lot of people are getting scammed through crypto ADs.

Re: Is product important for a project?
by
Agamemnus
on 10/07/2018, 11:10:54 UTC
Very important. A product is what determines if a coin will last long in the market or if it will die out. If there isn't a good product then people would not use it which affects the value of the coin.

Its one of the keys to the success of the projects, It would better to say it is the main key. If there is no product its just a new scam project with out any goals

This also. Without a good product, there is no way that a project can be successful. People will find out eventually that the project is useless and they will leave. The project will crash regardless.

Don't panic, hold your coins for as long as you can. Selling now is not an option because you would just end up selling at a loss. I don't think that the market is too bad right now anyway, there has been some growth in the price of bitcoin so a lot of the altcoins are now going back into green. If you ask me, I think it is just a matter of time until we are seeing another recovery.

Re: Is Your Money Safer In Crypto than at the Bank?
by
Agamemnus
on 09/07/2018, 10:22:36 UTC
It is not safer in crypto than in the bank. Anyone who tells you that your money is safer in crypto than in the bank is just lying to you. Infact, the money that you have in the bank is safer than the money that you have in cryptos. When you invest in cryptos you are taking a risk with your money, in hopes to make more money, nothing more. The difference is the money in the bank does not make you profit, it just sits there.

Re: How long will this bear market continue?
by

on 09/07/2018, 10:15:38 UTC
No way to tell how much longer the bear market  will last. Could be a couple of weeks, a couple of months or a couple of years. The possibilities are endless. That is why it is imperative for you to understand before investing in cryptos that waiting is part of the investment process. I am still holding all of my coins since I missed out my opportunity to sell them when the market was still bulling.

Re: People call bitcoin a fraud or ponzi scheme
by

The amount of people that I have met that think bitcoin is some kind of fraud or some kind of ponzi scheme is just alarming. Mostly when I meet people like this I do my best to educate them. You are right, the only reason that people are calling bitcoin a fraud or a ponzi scheme is because they do not understand bitcoin and how it works. With more information, they will learn how it works and know that it is not a fraud.

True, there are so many people that you would ask if they have heard about cryptocurrencies and they will tell you that they have and even if tey do not know about cryptocurrencies if you ask them about bitcoin they would definitely know what you are talking about. What we need now is for more people to have a better understanding of what cryptos are so they can start to invest in it.

Re: Will every crypto coin survive?
by
Agamemnus
on 05/07/2018, 20:13:48 UTC
No not all of the crypto coin will survive. A lot of the new coins that you are seeing in the market right now will end up dying out in a couple of years because they would no longer be able to keep up with the market. That is why you should never invest in new coins for the long term, a lot of them have nothing to offer and when they end up dying out, the investors are the one who will suffer.

Re: Sell token too early

You are not alone in this. A lot of bounty hunters, myself included tend to sell the tokens that they received as rewards from doing bounties. This is mostly due to the fact that we understand that a lot of the new coins will not end up making it well in the market so the reasoning is to get rid of the coins and take out the money while we still can, it doesn't always go well

Re: Do you panic?

What will change if you panic? You will make only more mistakes. Simply calm down. The situation is not as critical as you picture it to yourself. Try to relax and wait until the market starts to recover and run forward.

Man, in my experience trading, I couldn't have said it better myself. You clearly have good experience with trading cryptocurrency because I feel the same way in that if we panic then we risk losing our money because especially now, the market isn't nearly as volatile and we have the opportunity of actually sleeping instead of staying up all night waiting for pump and dumps.

Re: Persistence is more important than luck?
by

on 04/07/2018, 18:27:34 UTC
True. If you are not persistent and you allow yourself to be swayed by the market when a little price dips occurs then you are obviously not ready to make money. Persistence is what keeps you going when prices are down, everyone is saying cryptos are dead and they are taking out their money. It is what helps you get through the bad days in wait for the good.

A project that has no team members is most likely a scam. A project in which you cannot see the people who are behind it are the worst kinds of scams because when everything goes to hell then there is no one to hold responsible for it. When you see a project without team members, a whitepaper or a road map then you have definitely come across a scam project

Re: can bitcoin would actually be overthrown?
by

on 02/07/2018, 12:48:19 UTC
I really do not see any coin being able to take over bitcoin at this point. None of the other coins are doing well enough  in terms of market prices and value for me to consider them to be able to surpass bitcoin. Maybe in the future there might be a coin that will end up doing better than bitcoin. Anything is possible but for now bitcoins till remains the king of all the coins

Re: People move out from cryptocurrency!

on 30/06/2018, 09:00:45 UTC
People moving out of cryptocurrency and selling their coins and then taking money out of the market is the reason why the prices of the coins are so low at this point. Now there is way too much supply of coins in the market and not enough demand to balance out all of the coins that are being dumped right now in the market so it is only normal that the prices of the coins are falling now

Re: Why people want ETH to over come BTC
by

on 30/06/2018, 08:42:08 UTC
The thing is that there are so many people with so many ethereum coins in their possession such that if the price of ethereum were to rise to the prices that they are advocating for it to get to then these people would be instant millionaires. There is less amount of bitcoin in circulation and people do not have enough bitcoin in their possession to make them a lot of money

Re: Which Exchange do you all recommend?

I would recommend binance for anyone who is looking to go into trading altcoins simply because binance has the highest number of listed coins, more than any other exchange that we have. But when it comes to user interface it is not really friendly so you might have to spend some time getting used to it before you can start trading

Re: Dumbest thing you did in Crypto as a noob
by

on 29/06/2018, 07:41:56 UTC
The dumbest thing I did in crypto when I was new to it was to sell the bitcoins that I got as soon as I saw just a little bit of growth in the coin. I thought that there is no way for the price of bitcoin to grow past a couple of dollars at a time which was what led me to sell the coins. Thankfully I got back into the market before the bull started
