Re: Minebox Pre-order 8TB and 16TB Models using SIA
by

Got my Minebox and fired it up today, I'm currently waiting for the SIA network to finish sync.

It will be a while before I can really play with it but I can report that their software isn't ready yet to start selling unused storage space for SIA. (I knew this ahead of time before receiving it) However, I will be able to store information on the device and back it up to SIA network.

I have the 16TB model and I'm adding another 16TB to it this week.

I'm happy to finally start using it, even if I can't sell storage for SIA yet. I'm glad they opted to not delay the release further as I'd rather have it and wait for an update than to not have it at all Cheesy

For now, here's a photo. I will be posting more information as I have time to put it together.

Nice man!! Thanks for dedicating the time to update us on the Minebox. I was looking at some today and was wondering profitability and I found this thread. Have Sia released any calculations on profit from storage based off whatever price they have for monthly storage? Was considering getting one as well after finishing my gpu mining rig (3 more gpus to go)

You people are crazy to suggest the UTrust tokens will triple their value. If you just take the average token sale price, plus the yearly dilution of 2% of the reserved tokens, minus the burn rate of max. 50 million tokens a year, it will take several years to even match the ICO price. The only thing that can save the price is that you can buy goods with the tokens.

Hopefully not several years but IF this becomes adopted by a major retailer or various merchants (5000-10,000) then we'll definitely see profit. Which I do see becoming possible especially with their early beta run. If all goes good, we should see returns in less than a year (fingers crossed). Especially if the uTrust team uses some of that ICO funding to hiring more developers and blockchain specialists, hell possibly even previous employees of PayPal. Let's hope for the best!

Found a video of Nuno and others answering a lot of the questions we have here.

https://youtu.be/5r1txwwu7bc
excellent video conference, I liked how easy and simple the CEO answers all questions
thanks for sharing!
Old news, why don't you ask the CEO to easy and simple asnwer some recent questions in this thread?

UTrust was added to the Crypto Valley as a corporate member:

https://cryptovalley.swiss/member-directory/pg/7/?cn-s=utrust&cn-cat=1

The Crypto Valley Association is an independent, government-supported association to make Zug the world's leading blockchain and cryptographic technologies ecosystem.

First, this is old news. Second, take a look at the application form. You write some very basic info about a company and press 'Submit'. Nothing to get excited about.

C'mon guys. I want to see more spam! My criticism needs to disappear quicker  Grin

With only 2200 views I thought most people (especially the almost 11000 backers investing) would be interested in that video. But meh whatever you say man lol

Every single startup project entails risks but this project seems serious and who knows if in the future becomes a reference in the industry or it is even bought by another big player in the financial industry such as Paypal, Visa, Mastercard o any other payment carrier operator.

When you invest in this kind of projects you have to do a risk/reward analysis. I guess everyone invests money you are willing to lose, so it shouldn't be so relevant to be so worried about the future of the project, we just need to be patience and confidence with the team and partners

Just remind all of you that the prices will drop drastically and sharply if everybody sells after the ICO which would be a stupid situation for all of us investing in the ICO period and for the stability of the project.

I am going to retain my tokens as a long-term investment since I consider it could be a winner project for the near future.

Without patience is impossible to get good rewards in anything, you should keep in mind that.

Good luck to all of us. Life will go on anyway, so keep calm.

I completely agree! I myself have 11,000 UTK I'll be holding for 1-3 years as I watch the market grow. It's all a matter of risk taking and hoping that the platform gets adopted on a mass scale. Also for those people saying the negative reviews are coming in at the end of the ICO have misinterpreted myself and others curiosity for negativity. I'm 100% confident in uTrust but my skeptical nature (and I'm sure many others) always has that slight paranoia. But all in all, I truly believe this platform and system can finally bridge the gap between cryptocurrency, buyer protection and real-time merchant transactions.

Why has the community Utrust team not answered this important question! Why do they keep avoiding the issue:

Quote
Why is the director of UTRUST Switzerland AG, Marc Philipp Brühwiler [1], who apparently was involved in a financial scam in 2004 [2] not listed on your web site? What is his relation to your team?

Looks like they don't want to answer.

It's a C/O (Care off address) so the building is most likely a brass plate company residence. This is not uncommon. They're decision to register in Switzerland is probably due to a better tax rates and the fact it's a mecca for finance (think Wolf of Wall street) which might suit any legal delectation of monies raised during the ICO.

http://www.businessdictionary.com/definition/brassplate-company.html

That is exactly the term I was looking for. The biggest companies and most famous people in the world take advantage of them, including Apple, Amazon and Queen Elizabeth. Just look at the Paradise Papers and their predecessors.

That's exactly what you want to be associated to when you're selling trust, tax evasion and shell companies. Then you can as well use Paypal.

I really hope Kakumei can answer these questions here. These are some serious accusations and I really can't think of a reason why they should have their company registered under the name of someone like Marc Philipp Brühwiler ...

Still waiting on answers from the uTrust team. I'm sure there's a simple explanation such as similar names coincidence. Please Kakumei, clarify any ambiguity associated with this project.

This is a worry that no one is addressing these issues and when ever it is brought up there is loads of nonsense posts about exchanges trying to drown it out. It really is starting to look very dodgy. I really hope it is not.

I agree it does seem relatively sketchy but chances are we're being overtly paranoid due to the countless ICO scams that have happened before. However, it is our money we're pouring  in so we completely have a right to be paranoid. I honestly hope that the morals of this team is to genuinely produce a quality platform that can compete as the PayPal of cryptocurrencies and ensure security to their investors. I'll be lurking this thread as I have been in hopes that Kakumei or the uTrust team can elaborate and provide the transparency that I've seen them provide.

Amazon accept not even bitcoin .... but utrust ??

Hopefully soon though, with the advent of uTrusts payer protection system might incentivize Amazon and other retail merchants to use Bitcoin, Eth, LTC and maybe one day uTrust.

131 active companies are listed with the same address. https://www.moneyhouse.ch/en/company/utrust-switzerland-ag-12191824201/detail#contact

When you look up the address you will find this leather bags shop: http://www.hofstetter-lederwaren.ch/ueber-uns/imagevideo/

Google Maps shows it is definitely an address:

How does this work? How can 131 companies be registered to a leather bags shop?

Makes sense financially, I'm sure there are tons of companies that do this. Just like Rigorous said, I was hoping it'd be something different than a handbag shop. Oh well, I'm still pretty confident in my investment cause I know this project is absolutely promising. It's just we in the crypto-community are traumatized for sure. I look forward to hear from the uTrust team on clarifying this and the Marc Phillip conspiracies haha.

Sadly my questions in the Telegram group remained unanswered and I was instructed to contact Marc personally for further information.

1: https://www.moneyhouse.ch/en/company/utrust-switzerland-ag-12191824201
2: https://www.beobachter.ch/finanzen/vermogensverwaltung-kapitalfehler-inbegriffen

Oh wow, so the subsidiary collecting $20m right now is run by a well-known scammer who let $300,000 disappear magically ten years ago.
I'm preparing for a loss here. Good I didn't dump too much on this because of the high presale bonus.

A little worried nobody has answered this yet but I'm sure there's a legitimate answer. However, I still feel confident with my investment. Also pretty glad that error fixed up pretty quickly, definitely won't obsessively check my balance as much as I have been lol.

Is anybody else getting an access denied error 1015 message? I know I tend to check my account balance a lot but that's cause I just invested another 60$ through one of my exchange wallets and was worried. Hopefully this is just a momentary issue.
