2018 will be remembered as the year of the security token, and DESICO looks to be one of the front runners in making the shift from "faux" utility to compliant, regulated security token offerings affordable and realistic for startups. Full marks for team: experienced professionals with successful startups under their belt and a high calibre advisory board. The product is robust and approved by an EU financial regulator. In terms of vision, while not the first security token exchange project, based on my research, they are one of the teams best placed to execute well and to capture a large share of the EMEA market in the space. This is absolutely one of the top high calibre projects of 2018 and beyond.
desico a very informative team when it comes to explaining about their project answering all the questions asked in the telegram group nothing left unanswered. they are also very active when it comes to being visible at most of the international blockchain events across the globe very active team,
Desico is a very interesting project, I like the fact that they will be using the community as a vetting procedure for all new icos in order to have access to their platform so with our safety and security their priority this is a brilliant project when it comes to investing in new icos
I love the way the Desico team releases their weekly update videos. Even though they are hellish busy and travelling all over the place, they still take the time to let people know what they are up to. A lot of icos would do well to take a leaf out of Desico's playbook. In this market, everybody is afraid to part with their money and a project has to prove itself and show investors that they are serious about what they are doing. Too many scams have scared most people (including me) from putting another penny into icos. I'm pretty confident that Desico is a good bet, or at least, as good a bet that any blockchain company can be.

Exciting update from telegram the beta platform is to be presented to interested parties by end of August - Swiss SMI (Swiss Market Index) companies. Go team CV.
Which companies interesting in their smartc-contract platfrom? Is there some big companies or firms onboard?
I think that the names have been kept under wraps for now. I know that they have stated on their telegram group that they are Swiss Market Index (SMI) companies so all known institutions. Contract Vault have also partnered with various legal and blockchain startups in Crypto Valley in Zug, Switzerland. From what I have read, the companies that are interested in investing will follow a more traditional model, with an initial sum and then further injections of capital as various development targets are met. The Smart Edit Module is apparently being made public on the 29th August - only a couple of days before the end of the token sale.

I do not really understand in what cases your token will be used. Operations with crypto currency can be done without converting it into your token correctly ?? It's a utility token, for what operations will it be used?
In the whitepaper they detail the benefits of using DESI tokens rather than fiat. Benefits include no trading fees on the exchange and access to early bird discounts on icos. It will make a lot of sense to hold DESI tokens I think.

This has to be one of the first icos that keeps investors up to date with weekly video reviews of what they have been up to. Seem like a hardworking bunch, and the TG room is great. Admins who actually join in the conversation and they are doing a fantastic job of keeping the usual scammers out.

Yep, it's still phase 2 which ends in 27 days. not sure sure if there will be a phase 3. anyone know?
As far as I know, the whole thing finishes on August 31st, so no phase 3. I have a feeling they are also looking at traditional investors as well as ico funding. Makes sense, considering the industry.

Main sale starts on 25th. Apart from that, the team have been pretty quiet. Hopefully they come out with a fanfare when the sale starts.

any thoughts on Desico? Seems to be an interesting project, brings law regulation to the ICOs. I think it could help prevent scams and have more usable coins than it is currently offered in the market.

You're not joking. I'm sick of all the scams coming out. Regs are needed, and having a platform that vets icos beforehand is a great idea.

From what I've read in their telegram group, they are working pretty hard behind the scenes in prep for the main sale. That starts later this month.
This is the one I've been waiting for. It may sound a bit cumbersome, but I think it is the stepping stone that will get people into crypto without them realising it. Main sale starts sometime this month I think. Any word on dates?

How much money has been raised to carry on development ? I understand it is last day to invest but more important is to be aware of the current status of the project and ongoing fundraising as well. Hope I didn't miss anything in hurry because of shortage of time but it showed me total around 46 Ethereum were collected using contribution address, is that correct ?
From what I understand, they reached a good working soft-cap back in December or January with some pre-sales. I think maybe some private investment too. There is no danger of them not being able to run their business very successfully. Any more funds raised will just determine how fast they can roll out the whole system. However, I wouldn't be surprised if some big private money enters once they have proved themselves. I am positive this a very good long term investment.
Heard the same. Interesting that you think private institutions may move in later.

From what I understand, there is now going to be a two week break before the main sale starts. According to the telegram admins, some announcements will be made during this time, but there has been an Alpha floating around I think.
What announcements? Partnerships?

This is fantastic!! Can't fault these guys for their presence not just within the crypto community but within education too. I used to work in education, so the subject is one that's close to my heart. The project itself was a no brainer for me but I am very impressed with the team and what they're doing. It just fuels my confidence in OSUni.

I like the look of this project and reckon getting in early is the way to go because once the product is live lawyers have plenty of money to snap it up. Look at DentaCoin, all the dentists have been pumping that and theres not much real world use of it!
I wondered what Dentacoin was when I saw these huge spikes a few weeks back but never looked into it. You could be right about Contract Vault going the same way. Even more reason to buy before ico end.

A very well written article by the CV CEO. Makes a lot of sense. Lawyers are going to really appreciate this tech eventually. There will be more opportunity to create new types of contracts not seen before and because it's smart and automatable, the low-level drudgery of creating contract dissipates.
