Yea, the real goal is to pull the whole e-sports community into bitcoin. Right now there is some overlap, but we see a huge opportunity to get so many more people into bitcoin

This looks interesting enough to try a couple small gambles on. Need more people here and reddit to get engaged to raise the pots.
Indeed, we're thinking about sweetening the pot for some high-profile tournaments, but there's lots to do so haven't figured out which one yet

Maybe in the future they will also allow their Users/Uploaders to add Bitcoin addresses to their profile for tipping.
Couldn't they just put it in the description of the torrent?
I don't understand why an exchange like cavirtex needs to charge such a high fee per trade, and why that fee needs to be charged as a % of the transaction? Even Gox charges a %. I am aware there are costs in running an exchange but these exchanges should be mostly automated by machines.... So why does it cost so much more to facilitate a $1000 trade vs a $1 trade? It's just a computer processing a different number, there is no need for it to cost so much extra.
It seems to me like there should be room here for people to build an exchange using waaay lower fees, why has this not happened yet? One of the points we always use to sell bitcoin is the "no transaction fees" but buying and selling your coins comes at such a high fee so it really doesn't matter - unless you stay within the btc economy of course. But for instance trying to send money to a relative across seas would still come at an exceptional fee.
I really think this problem needs to be solved in order to help bring btc to the masses but I just don't understand why this problem hasn't already been solved on the free market.

Risk. Handling $1million requires much higher security, makes you a bigger target for hacking, etc. than handling $1.

The only user information we collect is email address so that's all that could be provided given a court order
We are a registered business. Federally incorporated in Canada.
Yes issuers have access their unit holder (investors) list which contains two columns: email address and qty owned

Unfortunately I forgot to put the apartment number, so it was returned to sender. About three weeks later it shipped and was returned to sender by the post office.
After waiting more than 4 more weeks after it was returned to them, I have still not gotten my coin, and furthermore after calling them was told they couldn't locate the tracking number.
I have a pretty high level of patience, but this is far beyond reasonable, and is bordering on absurd.

Well it turns out that my local post office is worse than terrible. After it had been > 10 days since the last activity for the tracking number, I went to the post office and after I got to the top manager they told me they lost my package. Figuring it was gone for good, I called up Coinabul and they suggested waiting another week to make sure. A few days later, I found it stuffed in my mailbox, in spite of the fact that it was a signature confirmation required package. Needless to say, I'll not be using the post office for anything important anytime soon. Thanks to Coinabul for dealing with the support calls for this, which were always friendly and to-the-point.

I like the concept of certification businesses, and I think if someone's looking for assurances outside of some governmental monopoly system, that's a good option.

In some cases, I'd be willing to spend the little bit extra, particularly for something risky, like for instance pills or other ingestibles. If a certification business is to succeed, however, it must provide consistent assurances. This means the metric used to measure a given company's performance is critical. This is were many governmental certification schemes have failed. Case in point American health departments.

You want your customers to use their judgement, and decide that your conclusions are congruous with their own.

I don't know where you heard about it, but I knew it as a way to transfer funds securely and relatively anonymously. Not a ponzi scheme.
I apologize if I were unclear. I meant that the user base grew significantly as/after the price jumped to $30/btc. These were the new members to which I was referring, which of course is a blanket statement and doesn't hold true for all of them. I most enjoyed reading on the forums prior to bitcoin hitting $1.20.
Comedy value aside (though personally I find them completely unfunny), if this is going to be a serious place to discuss the future of an entire currency then perhaps we shouldn't be allowing the most vocal segment of the users to look like idiots at passing glance in a place easily accessible to the public.

And as long as this forum is linked to the official Bitcoin site, the moderation staff should do their best to make it presentable to the general public and the media. That includes not allowing it to become an extension of 4chan.
While I lay no claim to the bitcoin forums as belonging to me, it seems to me that those wishing to disrupt the status quo have the burden of proof to show why their way is better. Personally, I am unconvinced by your points. You claim it is best to appeal to the media, which I hold will never embrace it. You also seem to think it will be accepted by the general public (which due to the media I think is unlikely to be the case).
Instead, I would favor targeting people who might actually use it, like pirate bay users, 4chan, <25 yr olds, and other users of peer-to-peer technologies. In my view, they are most likely to embrace bitcoin and bring it to fruition.
The carrot is stronger than the whip. I like systems that reward positive contributors rather than those which attempt to punish abusers. I think stack exchange does a great job with this. I've not seen a particularly good system for forums yet.
