I tried the marketplace a few months ago and I was able to download games onto my tablet.
It had a few bugs but not bad considering its only a small team building out the ecosystem.
These things take time and I'm more than happy to wait.
I have a game coming out (as soon as I bother to finish it) and I hope to use the service, it's a great starting place for indie devs like me.

If you're not happy then sell your tokens and GTFO... i'd happily buy them.. im not a huge mobile gamer but I know many people are. (the trains are filled with them every single day)

This coin was never anything more than one man's cheap attempt to manipulate markets and garner publicity for his books.
It never delivered on it's core promises of price stability and broader market acceptance, so it's about time the coin was delisted and thrown in the trash along his reputation.
This is the price of hybris and then failure.

As a developer that is moving into indie game development, this is a very good move. If it can provide easy access to the marketplace (especially in app purchases using GAME) then this will be HUGE.

Max Shiester promoted Max Coin and then created his own premined currency called Startcoin, just look where they ended up.. The guy is just a wannabe bankster like those he claims to hate.

It's to prevent double spend attacks and delay arbitrage between exchanges.
You may not like 999 confirmations but it does prevent the price from tanking every time there is an attack. This is better for the coin in the long run.

Also this wouldn't even be an issue of they just changed the mining algo.. As long as the coin is using Scrypt is vulnerable to attacks from large mining operations. (this is something I advised them to do years ago but nobody took it seriously)

There is always a huge run up before a new wallet update and then dumping happens afterwards when people realize that the wallet update is not the magic bullet that will take them to the moon.

People are mad to buy at high prices expecting it to go even higher, there is always a correction after a huge jump in price.

24H volume in Mainland China is down to $47,000 according to coin market cap.com. a few days ago it was into the millions.

If you bothered to even check you would have noticed that I have been involved in Crypto-currency for many more years than you have and I am not hiding behind a fake account.

Investors need to be aware of the risks and ATM NEO has a lot more risk than it has upside.

There are now 4 Chinese exchanges that have suspended NEO/CNY trading (Jubi, YuanBao, 19800 and 51szzc).. will they bring it back online? who knows.

PS: There is no amount of FUD on bitcointalk that is ever going cause the NEO price to drop, the market cap is far too big for people to panic sell from what the read on forums... The price falls all on its own because of the market uncertainty.

No, but the Chinese developers need to get paid and if they can't then work on the project stops.

As I pointed out more than a week ago, the biggest risk to NEO is being delisted in China.


Now 3 Chinese exchanges have halted NEO trading so there is a very real chance that they all might delist NEO because it is an ICO token.
This is on top of the news reports that ALL exchanges in China may also shut down.

If the developers cannot access their funds then it will make it much much harder for them to push the project forward.

I suspect it will be a long time before NEO is able to get back on track and the token is likely to slowly bleed out until that happens because a huge amount of people bought this token expecting it to be big in China.
The bans may only be "temporary" but we really don't know how long "temporary" actually is. It could be a few months or it could be a few years.

Such is the nature of speculative investments.

I finally found it.. but I think you need to update the products section because it takes you to a login page if you look there for the wallet.

I just downloaded the windows 64 bit wallet and it is the 0.9.4.4 version which says you will lose your bitmarks

We are only 1 day after the official announcement it takes time for the authorities to act.

NEO have already started making steps towards refunding customers they are not in charge of the exchanges so they would not be able to say whether tokens will be delisted or not.
It is is entirely up to the Chinese exchanges whether they want to take the risk of being shut down for continuing to trade ICO tokens.

It would seem that you have a lot to learn about how regulators work, the crackdown hasn't even begun yet, this is just a policy announcement.
Regulators in HK, China, Korea and the US have all indicated that they are looking very closely into the sales of unregistered securities, these types of investigations typically take months.
Ultimately they are the ones who determine what is legal, not us and certainly not the NEO council.

Right now ETH and NEO the most to lose from government crackdowns on ICOs and the most to gain from an improved and tighter regulatory framework.

To ignore these risks is simply irrational.

The most immediate threat to NEO and other ICO tokens is delisting from Chinese exchanges, if this happens then it will significantly reduce the trade volume.

The problem that we have is that ANT Shares AKA NEO was itself launched from an ICO.
The Chinese government has now issued a statement that all ICOs are to be refunded so if they enforce this then it could mean that the NEO developers will have to return all their funds to the original investors.

"Individuals and organizations that have completed ICO fundraisings should make arrangements to return funds, said a joint statement from the People’s Bank of China, the securities and banking regulators and other government departments, that was posted on the central bank’s website."

It's too early to say whether the Chinese government will enforce this but interesting times indeed.

The bigger risk IMO is if NEO gets suspended from trading on Chinese exchanges because was an ICO.
