Re: Do you use hdmi dummy plug for your mining rig?

https://rumorscity.com/2013/12/06/how-to-create-dummy-plugs-for-your-graphics-cards/

Says you should.

I notice that my asrock BTC won't boot if not connected to monitor. I need only 1 monitor for the whole mining rig though.

So I just want to make sure.

Yes. Their about $10 on amazon, if you live in the US. But if you want to DIY, that seems like an okay solution.

Re: BURST vs STORJ

STORJ does not have any profitability calculator that we can use to determine profitability, but if what they told in their blog post is true, BURST would be more profitable to mine than STORJ (if you call 1-2$ per month profitability)
I'm getting $5.50 or so per month over the last three months for 500GB.

Anyone able to give me an idea on how long it takes for Nanopool to show your stats?  I pointed a rig there and not seeing anything when I try to look up my payment ID (Payload).
when you make your first share

And how long does that take?  I've been mining for an hour at 4k MH/s and still not showing.

About 20 minutes is what it took me with 2 480's.

However it takes 6 hours to get accurate stats to display.

Yeah I've been mining for over an hour and nothing when I look up stats.  Saying account not found.

Are you using Poloniex?
You have to remove the "-64" part from the address, and run it like this:
-n poloniexwalletaddress.paymentID.OPTIONALworkername

Yes I am. I will try that, thank you.
No problem, i spent about 30 minutes on the same issue at the start.

Does anyone know how to calculate the profitability because nano is spot on with my hashrate but says I'll profit daily way more than whattomine is saying
Whattomine is very inaccurate for Pascal right now. And Nanopool's stats are up to date with the latest exchange rates.

About Gross $1.20/day.
Edit: Now about $1.95/day.
Profitability is up and down.

Risers = $18/ for 3
3 470's = $540
Mobo + CPU ~$100
32GB SSD = $25
650W EVGA = $70
OS: Free, if you pay for this...  Lips sealed
4GB RAM = $15
Moded BIOS: Usually free.
Case: $35 if you have the tools, $80 if you pay someone.
Total $803 USD or 776 euro's.

Same thing here, I guess. Accept i prefer Poloniex and manual selling.

I usually exchange then hold in my own Wallet (Electrum), then to LBC or a friend usually.

any update/ new miner release?  Smiley

would be nice i am anticipating a nice speed up for tonga

And i'm waiting for a speed up on RX4xx cards or even maybe ASM Cool
Fuck ZCash, we now need  "Claymore Pascal miner." We should be oriented to profite . It is with Pascal coin much higher.

I wasted a day on that coin. Got zero blocks after dropping 3200w on it for 24h. I see some that have in the TH also get zero blocks in +24h.

this seems to be right http://whattomine.com/coins/172-pasc-pascal

Whattomine is not right, I'm making $3.70/GH on Nanopool.
2 480's is drawing 280W power for about 1.1-1.2GH.

Why you're making multiple post with same question.
If you cannot use the google, then forget about whole mining.
And do you know why you didn't found any comparison, because you wasn't looking for that,
you just waiting till someone will do that for you, that's why you didn't find anything.
Another lazy ass. And your electricity isn't free, you're just a thief and you're rant with that.
That's my thoughts...

Re: pls help me to dual mine
by
Altcoining
on 15/12/2016, 23:39:28 UTC
From Readme.txt

-mode   Select mining mode:
"-mode 0" (default) means dual Ethereum + Decred/Siacoin/Lbry mining mode.
"-mode 1" means Ethereum-only mining mode. You can set this mode for every card individually, for example, "-mode 1-02" will set mode "1" for first and third GPUs (#0 and #2).

-dcoin   select second coin to mine in dual mode. Possible options are "-dcoin dcr", "-dcoin sc", "-dcoin lbc". Default value is "dcr".

-dcri   Decred/Siacoin/Lbry intensity. Default value is 30, you can adjust this value to get the best Decred/Siacoin/Lbry mining speed without reducing Ethereum mining speed.
You can also specify values for every card, for example "-dcri 30,100,50".
You can change the intensity in runtime with "+" and "-" keys and check current statistics with "s" key.
For example, by default (-dcri 30) 390 card shows 29MH/s for Ethereum and 440MH/s for Decred. Setting -dcri 70 causes 24MH/s for Ethereum and 850MH/s for Decred.

-dcrt   Time period between Decred/Siacoin HTTP requests for new job, in seconds. Default value is 5 seconds.

-dpool    Decred/Siacoin/Lbry pool address. Use "http://" prefix for HTTP pools, "stratum+tcp://" for Stratum pools. If prefix is missed, Stratum is assumed.
Decred: both Stratum and HTTP are supported. Siacoin: both Stratum and HTTP are supported, though note that not all Stratum versions are supported currently. Lbry: only Stratum is supported.

-dwal   Your Decred/Siacoin/Lbry wallet address or worker name, it depends on pool.

-dpsw    Password for Decred/Siacoin/Lbry pool.

Best Zcash Mining Pool

There's a ton of debate on this, and even I myself are wondering, so I though I'd make a poll and see which pool everyone prefers.
Poll closes in 30 days, because "Other" could possibly become flooded.

Suggsy89

How im can remove in safe mode?

and how im can disable crossfire?

==============================================

Xdragon , Which PSU do you recommend? I'll use for up to 7 gpu's?

The reason for the shutdown is from the weak PSU ?

Thanks
Almikr

This sounds like it is a driver issue! Remove in safe mode and re-install as administrator.

Reboot.

After that go to AMD Radeon Settings and disable crossfire if activated.

EVGA makes nice PSU's - their slightly expensive, but worth it.
But yes, your PSU is the problem here.

To be clear, coins are not burned or something, I guess pool just did not send payout and database was purged so it now does not display anything. Your coins are on the pool wallet or being sold at exchange it is impossible to say.
Thanks for the explanation !
I wrote to the adm the pool, but he does not answer.
Really is possible to pool took the coins yourself?
Those are the possible risks with pools. You should always have low payouts to your own wallet's to prevent losses.

Re: wich is better for ethereum mining ? Rx 470 8gb Rx 480 4gb ?
by
Altcoining
on 12/12/2016, 10:03:24 UTC
I got
10 x 480 8Gb Reference
and
6 x 470 4Gb Reference

480s @ 30.5Mhs
470s @ 27.5-28Mhs

The price difference between the 470 4Gb and 480 8Gb is around 117USD here where i live.
I bought the 480s early and if i had knew that the 470 4Gb could do 27-28Mhs easy i would have gone all in on 470s instead.
Hello Bro
How you get 27 MHS from 470 4GB, can you share your settings? how much power they are consume?
Thank you in advance
Best regards
Alex

yes bro you need to mod ur bios

Re: Mining on Supercomputers
by

Actually, I would consider a multi GPU farm as some sort of super computer.

I believe the typical high end GPU does around 2.5 tera FLOPS.

UC Berkeley actually has an effort which solicits PCs and higher to do distributed computation using what we would consider to be a multi GPU PC using their own ""mining"" software.

The effort is called BOINC and supplies computational horsepower to universities and startups to work on protein folding, black holes etc etc.

Typical at 2.5? More like 4-6 honestly, The RX 480 Nitro at 1342 gets 5.5TFlops/s here. The MSI's get around 5.3.
