Has anyone ever done a mini fridge rig, or an old school locker with air conditioning? Maybe reading up on Peltier coolers would help a bit.
The amount of power required to cool a GPU with a TEC cooler would not be worth it in the long run unless you didn't pay for power.... But I think putting that money towards more GPU's would be more logical..
Peltier coolers are best case approximately 60% efficient, its hard to find good numbers as there are so many variables involved. So you would need at least a 230 watt one to cool a gpu at all and almost tripling power usage and heat output. I tried to cool a 45 watt low power cpu with a 73 watt peltier and it failed to do so at full power.

I had a few of the Coolit Freezone's..... I had two of them in 1 loop..... I was running gas lines to help keep the condensation down...... My idle temps were like 5'C with a max of about 20'C @ 100% load.... .

MY 7950's ran that cool without any extra fans on top....... Their good cards but not powerful enough for the money when all you care about is mining.

Might be harmful if you have 50+ cards all running at super high temp...
I look @ 10+ cards and I may have 1 or two that run a lot hotter than others. This does not worry me at all. If I have a couple cards die. Well so be it.. It's part of the game..
LOLOLOLOL tinfoil around the card eh

probably because if the ssd drive is your boot drive and it gets unplugged your PC has no OS to run

uhhh... If you yank out a SSD it will not cause flames or sparks... it will shut down your PC though....
my 2 year old son LOVES to yank shit out my my open case PC while it's running..... so far he's pulled the cables on SSD drives.. PCI-E/molex adapters and fans..... PC only shuts down.... still works fine

If you yank out the Power connector on a mining GPU while it's mining.. the PC BSOD's and shuts down.

why sould it shut down the pc? sata (assumption) is hotplug.
The OS gets confused if the ssd was also the boot drive
Confirmed. 2 year old yanked a SSD off a miner last week and it BSODed in 2 secs. Fortunately no OS corruption. The drive was hanging the same way but using a locking SATA cable.
You're pretty

Looks like the power connector is putting some weight on it.

Some nice set ups in this thread
Here are a few pic's of my current dedicated rigs..
The top rig has 4 x 5830's, lower rig has 3x 5870 + 1x 5850. Each one has a 1000 watt Power supply MSI 890FXA-GD70 motherboard. I use one wireless adaptor and share the internet connection with the bottom rig through the ethernet port.
I have two 5850's in my home PC.

Re: [PRE-ICO-07.08-06.11] CRYPTOSOUK - Кpиптoбиpжa для БЛИЖНEГO ВOCTOKA [AIRDROP]
