Is the IceRiver AE1 Lite worth it for 2025 mining?
by

Hey everyone,

I just found this miner called the IceRiver AE1 Lite and it looks pretty cool! It's made for mining ALEO and does 300 MH/s. That sounds like it could save money and make some good cash.

I'm thinking about giving Aleo mining a shot and this miner looks like a pretty good one. But I'd really love to hear from anyone who's tried it, does it run smoothly? Are the profits pretty steady?

Also, what do you think about hosting this kind of miner? Would you recommend hosting them in a hosting center or would you prefer to run them at home? Any hosting options you've found that are worth checking out?

Do you think privacy coins like Aleo are worth mining in 2025?

Thanks a bunch for sharing what you think!

Re: Can bitcoin address be changed by a wallet?
by

So I've been doing a lot of reading on bitcoin privacy a lot lately, and I've got a question. I'm not sure if this is the right board for this, but I feel it is.

So let's assume an address has been made public and everybody knows who that address belongs to, can the owner decide to change that address and move his coins to another address without it showing on the bitcoin blockchain?
I mean can the wallet simply change the address at the request of the owner with verification like the seed phase, of course? Then on the blockchain the new address will not show where the bitcoin came from and the old wallet will just show $0 balance without showing where the coins where sent to?

The wallet owner can totally move their coins to a new address but the bitcoin blockchain will still keep a record of it. You'll see the coings going from the old address to the new one, it's all out there. Even though they can choose where to send the money, there's no way to completely hide the history since bitcoin is all about being open like that. You can try special wallets to make it more private but the first transaction will still show up

YouTube is a good source for those who know how to source the right information from those YouTube content creators, also I agree that I prefer Bitcointalk as a source of information since I am already used to Bitcointalk compared to YouTube as mentioned, and the negative experience of my past, I have a bad feeling always for YouTube marketing videos.

All information is for reference only, including investment advice from this forum, without exception. We are all investors, but there are many people who think they are better than others and call themselves experts. Many people even become selfish and are willing to criticize others or impose their thoughts on others.

Your bad experience with Youtube is due to your carelessness and gullibility, not Youtube's fault. Just because you had a bad experience doesn't mean it wasn't good, we shouldn't be so unfair.

When it comes to investing, any information from others is for reference only, we need to do our own research and should not depend on anyone.

Frankly, finding altcoin investment advice on this forum is somewhat limited as most people here are bitcoin maximalists. We all love bitcoin more than any other coin so we have a harsher view on altcoins, thus the advice will be a bit more biased and personal.

i totally feel you on being cautious about those Youtube marketing videos, I've fallen down that rabbit hole myself. When i first go into crypto, I'd watch a ton of them and then hop over to bitcointalk to see what people were saying but i noticed some folks there can be super negative about altcoins which threw me off. These days, i make it a point to do my own digging, checking out a bunch of different places so i can piece together what's really going on. It's honestly helped me avoid some sketchy moves and I feel a lot better about my choices now.

Re: Then Now Tomorrow Bitcoin Era

It is never wrong to decide to spend your own bitcoin if you so wish, it's your money, you bought it, speeding bitcoin also means transacting in it, it's also a means of supporting the blockchain activities.

We make money to spend it on giving ourselves a good life, if after acquiring a lot of bitcoin and you don't spend it on yourself once in a while, you suddenly die, what do you think will become of the bitcoins?
We buy something like bitcoin by knowing that we can sell it in future.

Buying and selling is a pair that supports each other and if there is no seller, we can not be a buyer to purchase bitcoin. If I bought bitcoin, I hope that I can sell it when I need money in future, and I will never buy bitcoin if I know that I will not be able or struggle to sell it in future.

When I need to sell bitcoin, I won't hesitate to do this and I won't regret about this. If I plan to not sell my bitcoin, I would have reserve my money in cash for using and making sure that I won't sell bitcoin in my Bitcoin portfolio.

The honest truth is that we buys bitcoin for income sake, we store our financial values on bitcoin for future use so, when it is a due time to sell, there is every necessity for that and it even if we uses the acquired bitcoin to make direct payments, it still serves as form of money.
So, the need of owning bitcoin is as equivalent of owning a cash in terms of goods and services purchases. So I don't expect to see myself owning bitcoin and still crying out for money to solve my need when my staked bitcoin is also money.

I've always seen bitcoin as this cool mix of something I can invest in and something I can actually see. I mean, i love the idea of holding onto it for the long haul, watching it grow over time feels like planting a seed and waiting for it to turn into a tree. But at the same time, i don't think it's just for sitting on. Sometimes I'll use it to buy stuff when it makes sense. To me, money, whether it's bitcoin or the cash in my wallet, is all about making life better. I've paid for things with it before, like a new gadget or even just grabbing something online and it felt pretty normal, honestly. The tricky part is figuring out when to keep it tucked away and when to let it flow. I guess it depends on what's going on in my life, like if I need something now or if I'm feeling patient enough to wait for a bigger payoff later. Either way, I think using it or saving it both work, as long as it's doing something for me.

Re: Finally got some GREEN amidst the market downtrend
by

I can still recall when $BMT listed on Bitget few days, i saw it as another mere coin that would pump and dump but guess who was wrong ? ME because this token did 2900% in price increase before Binance announcement.

Honestly, i was surprise when Binance announced Bubblemaps $BMT through its Hodlers Airdrop platform which would contribute to further price increase. Even though the market is unpredictable, i’m sure some would have took the risk to ape in early when it listed few days ago. I can only imagine how great they’ll feel with this.

It would be interesting to see more projects in the green amidst the market downturn. Did anyone aped on this one ?

I couldn't believe how crazy $BMT's price went up, it just shows how wild this market gets! I bet the people who jumped in early are grinning especially after Binance hyped it up. I love watching these big wins but it makes me think I've got to time things right and not get too risky. I really hope more cool projects like this keep popping off no matter what the market's doing.

Re: How to improve the stability of lives through BTC or others in Rural Areas!

~
don't just rely on 1 speculative asset and think it can save us even if we are lazy.
I second this one because it's so true, just because there's a guarantee that bitcoin is going to be pumping in prices in the near future, it doesn't mean that it's going to make you the money that you need right now, it's an investment and a very volatile one at that. Having a job and building your bitcoin investment little by little or depending on your risk management is probably the best thing that you can do.

A stable job transforms into a stable investment plan.
Once cannot be sustained without another, and it's obvious what comes first.

I need a steady job before betting on bitcoin. It's up and down so I add to it slowly while working. That keeps me safe and lets me gain if it grows. Smart moves matter for the long run. I like having solid ground while I aim high.

Re: Has the reputation of mixers really gone too bad?
by

This is in connection with the recent Bybit hack, where they reportedly lost $1.5 billion. Shortly after, an article came out titled...

Bybit Funds on the Move, Could be Headed for Bitcoin Mixers ‘Next’: Elliptic

As you can see, they used the word "could," which means there’s no confirmed result yet on where the money will actually go. It’s like they’re implying that in any illegal activity, including this hack, the hackers will automatically launder the funds through a mixer to cash out, making it harder to track.

No wonder mixers have developed a bad reputation. Even though they’re meant for privacy, illegal transactions like these overshadow their legitimate uses.

Thoughts.....

I don't think mixers were made for shady stuff–they're like about keeping my money private which feels super important these days with everything online. To me, the problem isn't the mixer itself, it's just how some people use it. It's like VPNs or encryption or even Tor, i love how they hide my tracks but yeah, they can be used for good or bad. I get why that's tricky. I just wish we could figure out how to stop the crooks without tossing out my right to keep things private. I mean, I'm not hurting anyone–I just don't want everyone snooping in my wallet, you know?

Re: Open a large mining farm with a favorable tariff!

Hello everyone I've always been interested in mining! I decided to find out about it and try it. I started mining on my PC. The idea came up to open a large farm. I made a small but understandable business plan. I'm Looking For Investors. I made the documents for the project, this document was made in Moscow (very good specialists reviewed my project). This document allows the investor to insure the entire project and be sure that his money will not be lost. The project is worth 4,400,000$. The price for electricity is 0.032$. Everything is legal and official!

The location of the mining farm will be in Kazakhstan.

With $4.4M on the line, I know investors are going to ask me about keeping things safe, taking care of the gear, and following local rules. I'd make sure to show them a simple list of what everything costs, how much money we could make back and what i'll do if things go sideways.

Mining bitcoin with you laptop is a waste of time and money. Mining bitcoin need ASIC miners which you can buy from legit sellers.

Re: The bitcoin financial growth in the nearest future
by

on 07/03/2025, 09:06:37 UTC
Since 2008 that bitcoin a decentralized currency came in to existence many investors have been doing their best to advance bit coin since it was the first crypto currency. it financial growth has been a very amazing growth due to the potential of various investors from different countries  working together to make sure bit coin continue to advance .through the years of bitcoin the rate of which people invest have continue to increase although some countries may not asept bit coin because they think that the moment they asept bitcoin their currency begins to reduce value but that is wrong the rate of cash and bank might reduce but  not every body will want to invest their hard earn money when they know the risk behind it . bit coin avancement has been miraculous since 2008 to 2025 ,the rate at which the word is developing is unpredictable ,when technology is making life  easier ,so as  bitcoin have been developing and making changes . the future is that which is unknown but the future start for now the determination of all investors will surely advance bitcoin in the nearest future which will change the bitcoin currency viewing in the minds of the nonvesting country And in doing that bit coin will finally become a word wide decentralized crypto currency in the nearest future .

I've watched bitcoin take off sine 2008 and it's wild how much people love it and how tech keeps pushing it forward. Some places worry it'll mess with their own money but I love how it's free from control and opens up cool ways to invest. Sure, it's got risks, but more and more folks everywhere are jumping on board. I really think as tech gets better, Bitcoin's going to be a big deal in the world's money scene down the road.

Re: Celebrity Tokens – Hype or Real Opportunity?
by
Anik_Elft
on 06/03/2025, 05:49:17 UTC

The fundamental to be observed is whether an investor can take profit. This has to be analyzed as to which is your priority and its not about you holding something because the token is named after your idol.

Its a digital ASSET which means you are spending to get these tokens. Its not ideal to just get some of them because you are a fan. But I'm not surprise to see people only tries to buy because they are a fan. People buy the memecoins just for fun.

I've been thinking about how I should approach investing in digital stuff like memecoins. For me, it's gotta be about the money I could make, not just jumping in because i love the hype. Some coins blow up thanks to fans but I've seen how wild and risky they can get. I'm trying to dig into trends, what the token actually does and if it's got legs for the long haul, it feels smarter than just treating it like a fun game.

I'm honestly blown away by how PI network's handling all the regulatory headaches especially with anti money laundering stuff. Their KYC setup, using AI plus real people from the community, feels clever and keeps it legit, which I bet helped get Pi coin on exchanges like gate io and bitget. Everyone's buzzing about binance next but I'm not holding my breath since nothing's confirmed. I just hope Pi keeps nailing the compliance part, it's what'll make it bigger for folks like me.

This often happens when a project starts getting attention. If it stays on pause for too long, it might help to contact the Monad team or check if manual distributions are available.

The real issue here is the security vulnerability that led to the hack not just where the funds could go. Mixers are one method hackers use but improved security measures and faster blockchain analysis can help track and recover stolen assets before laundering happens.

Re: 21 Steps to Understanding Bitcoin: From Zero to Expert”
by

Bitcoin's a digital money thing that doesn't need a boss like a bank. It is cool because it gives me control over my cash but it is risky too, like any money move. I've gotta learn about it, keep an eye on what's happening and be smart with it. Holding onto it for a while usually beats jumping in and out fast.

Bitcoin offers control over money unlike banks. it provides a path to financial freedom. More people are recognizing its value making it a smart choice for the future. While some fear change, others see it as an opportunity to grow.

Solo mining requires running a full node which means downloading the entire blockchain. You'll need to adjust configuration files and direct your miners to your local setup. Block discovery takes longer compared to pool mining so it demands patience and technical know-how.

Re: The biggest differences between Bitcoin and altcoins?
by
Anik_Elft
on 25/02/2025, 07:16:54 UTC
Bitcoin's fixed supply definitely gives it an advantage over inflation prone altcoins but I've always wondered if all altcoins were truly worthless, why do some of them have such strong developer communities and real world use cases? Ethereum is the backbone of defi, chainlink bridges smart contracts with real world data and monero provides privacy features that bitcoin simply doesn't. Sure, plenty of projects are outright scams but writing off all altcoins seems like ignoring the bigger picture of blockchain's evolution. I think it is worth looking at both sides of the debate.

bitcoin's history proves it survives market cycles and i see it as a long term asset rather than a quick profit scheme. Holding with patience has often rewarded investors so I stay focused on the bigger picture.
