Re: How to import a blockchain.com wallet from 2012?
by

Small update. I was able to find the first password and with BTCRECOVER I dumped the wallet info. In the file there are some informations such as

 "addr": "",
            "priv": "",
            "privkey_compressed": "",
            "privkey_uncompressed": ""
        }

The address doesn't have any Bitcoin on it. Is that my old wallet? If so, there's no point on recovering the second password, right?

Thank you

Before reaching out to Blockchain.com support, I would try at least using BTCRecover tool[1] on that file. The tool allows you to dump/decrypt your wallet, provided that the password that you have is correct. Run the line of code that is mentioned in the documentation and you'll obtain a .txt file where you'll see the private keys associated with your wallet.

Next step would be to import them[2] or, better yet, sweep them[1] into a wallet like Electrum. As always, you should do these operations in an airgapped environment to ensure the safety of the operation.

PS: As always, make a copy of your file before running this tool, just in case something bad happens.

This is what I'm trying to do, but I keep getting error in terminal. Will see if some friends can help me

How to import a blockchain.com wallet from 2012?

I found my old wallet from 2012 from blockchain.com with a file aes.json. I tried to import it on https://login.blockchain.com/beta/legacy-pages/import-wallet.html it asks me for the password, which I have and should be correct, and after it asks me for a new password, when I put it nothing happens. What am I supposed to do? How can I use it?

any of you with an old Blockchain account?

I'd like to know if the second password is only numbering or must have been a more complex one.

This could help

If it's only required to authorize transactions, he can log in (I have re-read the OP and realized that he already can, lol), and get the seed in the security center to then import it into electrum. I'm not sure if that'd be considered as "authorize a transaction" and ask for the second password.

No I can’t log in completely. After I put the normal password it brings me to another window where I need to put the second password to than check my wallet.

It’s absurd because I have the second password written down but it doesn’t work.

So nothing at all I can do? I’m talking about an account made in 2011-2012

I found an old wallet and tried to log in on blockchain.com to see if I have some bitcoin inside. I can log in but then it ask me for a second password, I have it written and believe it's correct but it doesn't let me login. I also tried some other possible passwords but had no luck. what should I do? I don't have the recovery seed.

Did you follow all instruction from this page before updating firmware : https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002731113

There is also info :

As many users are updating their device, it may take a few minutes to connect to our HSM server

For error you get only way around is to boot in Recovery mode and then open Manager -> click on update. To update to last firmware you need firmware version 1.4.2 and Ledger Live version 1.3.

Well I did a mistake this time, didn't delete the app before.

Ledger nano stuck updating

I was trying to install some apps and wasn't working. Was saying to install BTC and ETH apps, when they are already installed.

So I decided to update the firmware and right now it's stuck with the writing "MCU Firmware is not genuine" I did as suggested unplug, hold the right button and plug but nothing is happening. I get the writing recovery on screen but then it goes back to "MCU Firmware is not genuine". Any solutions to this?

I think it's going to be a massive boost for the cryptos in general.

Opening a Bank account in Malta will allow a lot of Europeans to easily deposit and buy cryptos
