Also would AppCoins be a possible payment option for in app purchases for maybe android only apps? Or what is the overall vision or goal of the platform? Just curios.

Yes, the idea is for APPC to be a payment solution for in-app purchases. In theory not only for Android apps, the protocol could also work for iOS apps, even though, Apple is less likely to adopt the protocol.

I have a question to Appcoins team,

AppCoins manipulated the bounty campaign section allocations after the ICO.  Angry

I asked this question twice in the bounty thread and I didn't get any answer from the bounty manager and he went silent.

Previous allocations were

Campaign 1: Signature campaign : 42% allocation
Campaign 2: Articles campaign : 37% allocation
Campaign 3: Twitter campaign : 5% allocation
Campaign 4: Translations campaign : 10% allocation
Campaign 5: Telegram campaign : 2 % allocation
Campaign 6: Reddit campaign : 4 % allocation

You have changed it to,

Campaign 1: Signature campaign : 40% allocation
Campaign 2: Articles campaign :42.5% allocation
Campaign 3: Twitter campaign : 6% allocation
Campaign 4: Translations campaign : 8% allocation
Campaign 5: Telegram campaign : 2% allocation
Campaign 6: Reddit campaign : 1.5% allocation

It 's really UNPROFESSIONAL and UNETHICAL to do so. You increased the allocation for articles campaign by doing that which has a totally private spreadsheet.

It seems you cheated bounty hunters without noticing this section allocation change.  Angry

Now they got less number of tokens than they expected to get except articles and twitter campaign participants.

How stakeholders really trust this project if you already did such a horrible thing to bounty hunters who helped to reach the ICO hard cap?

I need an answer.

Some users have been complaining about this. However, the final allocation was the one that was initially announced. There was a miscommunication related with the translation bounties, which led Sylon to change the distribution mid ICO. But the final values were always meant to be these.

I am very glad that I came across the project and managed to participate in the campaign of signatures.
And my goal is not just to get coins and quickly sell them, but to be their holder.

Thanks Crypto Smiley we appreciate your support

appcoins in freez now? can not see them on etherdelta.

Yes, the tokens are still locked. But pretty soon they will be unlocked. We are working on burning the unsold tokens and distributing the bounties first.

ok..i understand that 1st will be bounty distribution, then burning. when will be distribution?

Very very soon. We are just confirming some technical details regarding the ICO process.

How is the project going on?! I looked through the road map. Do you manage to do everything in time at the moment? I mean, will the release of the system happen on time?

So far so good, we already have a working MVP that we presented back in November during WebSummit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UhBm4PerhpQ

it's just bad that you still didn't fix the problem with fake users. I'm pretty sure Best people are going to earn a lot of tokens and the advertisers will lose their money.
hello. Of course it's hard to deal with the fraud but we are trying to do that! In AppCoins Store app we are planning to limit the number of installations for new users. You can download only one app a day but not more than three a week. After sometime we will increase number of installations but the maximum is going to be two a day per user.

that sounds interesting. How can I withdraw tokens to my Account?
You can't withdraw money. You can also make purchases in different apps.

But fraudster can register as a developer and add his own app to the system so he can make purchases.

Oh yeah, that might happen. But this person will lose 15% on commissions as well as AppCoins will have certain algorithms that after sometime will be able to spot a fraudster.
Hello. I'd rent that users can spend their tokens for purchases within the apps. What about the owners? Can they exchange tokens to fiat money?

That's a very valid concern. Our whitepaper (https://appcoins.io/pdf/appcoins_whitepaper.pdf) on page 13 suggests a number of possible solutions:

• Thresholds: The app store sets a lower limit, e.g. one install a day and three per week
for unknown users. As the user has more transactions in the blockchain, the level of trust
increases and the threshold is slightly raised. The user would never be able to do more
than two installations per day in any case.
• Cash out: As mentioned before, the user is not able to cash out tokens. He has to use
the AppCoin tokens for in-app purchases. A fraudulent user could try to register as a
developer and buy items inside his own app, but 15% of the transaction volume would be
lost (app store and OEM margin) and it would be easier to detect a fraudulent pattern
for that user.
• User Fingerprint: The fingerprint of the user (a unique identification to detect double
attribution) is not done only at the smartphone level but, more importantly, at networking
level. The IP of the user smartphone, as well as routing information, is used in the
fingerprint.
• Shared information: The existent transactions with the fingerprint information will
persist in the blockchain, allowing the different app stores to access and avoid cross-store
fraud. The partial anonymity of the user is accomplished by using hash functions (like
SHA256) in the fingerprint.
• Targeting: It is the store that sends the Ads for the user, trying to do an intelligent
matching between the user and the running campaigns. The client cannot try to install
an advertised app that was not targeted to him.
As mentioned before, it is impossible to totally eradicate fraud since the smartphone is an
untrusted environment. The goal is to create enough difficulties for the attacker beyond the
point that the effort and resources needed to explore the attack vector do not compensate the
benefits extracted from that attack.

u said that aptoide complies with all DMCA request and removes apps whenever a developer asks for a take down but on your other statement you also stated that through appcoins we can avoid censorship issues within app stores, where one large player can choose to remove content so does this mean that whenever a developer asks for their app to be taken out of the blockchain?

No, not from the blockchain. That DMCA process happens only at the app store level. Also, one of thing is censorship, another one is complying with copyright law.

How do you plan to discourage people from dumping at the first exchange?

We've already set a vesting period for the team. We've also set up a bootstrap mechanism that will delay some tokens distribution amongst the developers, users and OEMs. Other than that there's not much more we can do. As you know, investing in cryptocurrencies and ICOs such as AppCoins always carries a risk, just like investing in any other business.

So how would one get access to the Aptoide store? You can't download it from traditional app stores right? You have to download the .apk?

I don't think this has been answered yet.

Yes, when you want to install any third party app store such as Aptoide you usually download the apk from their website. In the case of Aptoide, many device manufacturers already bring Aptoide pre-installed.
