Re: Spook Inu NFT - The spookiest BSC/NFT project is finally here!
by
Apyminer
on 21/02/2022, 06:33:57 UTC
Heu there,

I gave a spin to the token and I'm not sure I see the point of it...

First off I'd like to say that buying this coin through pancakeswap os a pain. I don't know if the reason is pancakeswap itself or the spookinu coin... Anyboo I decided to try and I just don't get it.

When I buy a coin or a token I hope it increase in price and could bring me some profits.
Now in the very case of spookinu we see 300%, 500%, 1000% increase and so on. That's great, and sounds too good to be true...
So the first thing I noticed a couple hours after buying the token, is that my amount of token has dramatically decreased. That's what's shocking at first glance.
Then after a moez thorough check, what I see is that the value I had bought is still there...
So the total amount of the tokens in my portfolio is decreasing as the value of the coin itself is increasing.

So
- First I'm glad I tried it and not gone all in with a high value
- Second what is the aim? One could consider this a stable coin but, it's not a coin AND it has no fiat currency backed to it.

Finally when I buy a coin or a token I expect it to increase in value so that I could make a profit... An increase in one side for a decrease the other side is just killing this purpose... Oh yeah the token increased 40k+% since launch but holders just don't benefit of it in reality...

So what is the goal of this token? Some reviews assimilate it as a scam, after trying it I wouldn't qualify it that way, as my money os still here. But it's clearly not understandable at least.

Yes it's this one.
I tried in solo during the day and the gtx970 found 5 blocks so not too bad.
Thank you for the link I wanted to know what the community here think of the project, so that'll do. Thks a lot.

If you found 5 blocks during the day with 1000 coins reward from what I have seen in their ANN page then it is simply awesome.A price of such coin is 0.02 cent or 20 USD for 1000 pieces in a block reward.I wonder what the power of RTX 3080 and more powerful cards is at this, hopefully it can find more blocks than the GTX 970 by solo mining which is great.

When did you found 5 blocks during the day as that is equal to 100 USD in cash rewards ?

I launched the miner solo yesterday from 10:00 am till 07:00pm.
As you say I also find this very interesting (and unhoped) to be able to crunch such number of blocks on such an "old" /average GPU.

Today just to recheck I have launched the miner in solo on one of my 3060 rtx lhr. I'll check tonight if anything worked otherwise I'll put it back to shared mode or on something else.

According to the white paper of the project, the main idea behind this project is to design a navy battle game and the coin would be used in-game. So if the dev team achieve it tgis year that would definitely be a boost. W8 n see.

Hey there,

an update of my previous answer.

RVL/AVN was working great still hot.  I switched the GTX970 to FLUX @ around 20 sol/s. Nothing special here but better than nothing.
Good result FLUX @ around 20 sol/s. You will get about the same result with the RTX 3050.
But the profit is very small, it is better to sell such a video card.
https://whattomine.com/gpus/73-nvidia-geforce-rtx-3050?cost=0.1

Of course it's not interesting to mine on this GPU. I keep this GPU as it is on my not-dedicated-mining PC. I don't intend to replace it.
It's not a bad home PC graphics card unless you play modern games. Today, this video card has a good price in the market, but after the end of Ethereum mining, its price may drop significantly. You can now try to sell this video card profitably, and then buy a more powerful GPU.

Well I am into spec mining too and a few hours back I wanted to try mining galleoncoin.
So I gave a spin to the GTX970 and it displays me a whooping average 400mh and a max at 599mh. So obviously I wanted to try that on my 3060 lhr and disapointingly it barely achieved 150mh on windows and 230mh on linux... So yeah just for the fun, the gtx 970 is now up and running for some spec mining galleoncoin Smiley
This coin?

I don’t know why this can be, maybe the miner is not optimized for the PTX 3060. And asics have been working on quark algoritm for a long time, so this is not the most profitable mining for video cards.

It should be a good card for gaming and mining Flux (or RVN maybe).

Definitely not suited to mine ethash

This GPU I see on sale in stores with a lot of inflated value, being about 700 EUR new for near 13-14 Mhsh at Ethereum mining, most probably we should wait for a 3050 ti or a 3050 super version as those versions usually are the better side of these things and I expect if they ever come out to be at 30-35 Mhsh being LHR cards, their true power to be near 45-50 Mhsh but this one the 3050 is definitely NOT a good card for mining.

700e is outrageously a deal-breaker.

[moderator's note: consecutive posts merged]
Flux 22 sol/s or RVN 12 mh.
Are you now seriously talking about mining with such a hashrate and a video card price of $450-600?

As for the demand from gamers, I also strongly doubt it.

I get indeed 20+ sol/s mining flux with my gtx970, but RVN kawpow is a nogo... But I agree paying 400+ usd for such performances is a complete non sense.
I just also posted some spec mining result on galleoncoin with the gtx970... Well 400mh average is just crazy (peaks at 599)...meanwhile my 3060 lhr barely hits the 250mh mark...

Re: [SUGARCHAIN] - Why so much discrepencies with the price of the coin ?
by
Apyminer
on 04/02/2022, 22:41:42 UTC
Look at the stats:

nomics lists an exchange (exbitron) that is tiny....literally $1 worth of sugar traded.  exbitron has under $7500 total daily volume all trading...so its not a reliable exchange or market.

Gecko doesnt list them but does list Altmarkets which nomics also shows but is even smaller than ebitron.

Because these are fringe / tiny exchanges without any real markets the price is always going to be crazy off..

Truth is there is practically no market for sugarchain thus price variance is to be expected....lack of market = lack of real data.

Copy that. Thanks for enlightment here

Because this nowhere coin doesnt even have $6 in 24hr volume worldwide.

Thus it is nothing.  And thus price is manipulated with any transaction.

$5.98 total volume....  WTF thats not a crypto coin....thats worthless bits.

What you want to say is that coins with lower volume shouldn't even be quoted by no mean by none of the platform then ?  But it doesn't seem to be the case...

Anyway there must be a reference price for the coin somewhere otherwise it wouldn't make any sense to have a price here, another one there and another one another place....

[unmineable] - the pool hashrate fluctuations considered normal ?
by
Apyminer
on 04/02/2022, 17:35:10 UTC
Hello,

I'm currently using unmineable to get some coins that are not mineable.

I'm on ethash algorithm and I just don't understand why the hashrate are fluctuating so much.

Curiously the hashrate calculated by the pool is fluctuating a lot during mining. For the cumulated 2 GPUs, I can read values from 18mh/s up to 122mh/s. That's quite an amplitude.

Should I consider this normal ? Or could there be network or gear problems ?

Re: Bad feeling about the mining profit of incoming Intel Arc GPU
by
Apyminer
on 04/02/2022, 17:22:16 UTC
Intel is the newcomer here and based on those links it doesn't look that promising however to be sure we have to watch them in action, see the hash rate, power consumption and stability of this Arc GPU before jumping to conclusions. In normal conditions when a new competitor wants to enter in a business area he usually brings a better product compared to the competition (if he is serious about his business) and also a bit cheaper just to get the market share.Let's see how Intel will play this game.

True and I do hope they will shake the GPU industry to boost it up, new engineers, new point of view, new vision, technology is constant needing of that.

Else it's funny how NVIDIA CEO reacted to the announcement of this new toolkit, he appear to be scared of this competitor  Cool
https://www.pcgamesn.com/nvidia/intel-one-api-jen-hsun-huang

Does this means that current GPU prices will go down? I hope things get right because even though mining eth is getting harder GPU prices still remains and worst is getting more expensive than it is. Hope things gets better with new competitions like this comes to the market, it will help a lot.

don't hold your breath. Intel will align its pricings to those already existing. Absolutely no reason for them to lower prices. The demand remains high and will continue to be high... The 200/350 eur GPU range is long gone/dead and will never come back. I'm not negative here, just realistic.

I think NBminer is better than Trex for LHR GPUs, it's more stable if you can use the settings recommend by the developers, the stable highest I've seen is 58MH, find the right tweaking using HiveOS forum Search engine, good luck

I'm a NBminer user too and I totally agree.
This software is great with LHR.

I'm using 3060 LHR with it and it is far from deceiving me.

[SUGARCHAIN] - Why so much discrepencies with the price of the coin ?
by
Apyminer
on 04/02/2022, 16:52:05 UTC
Hey there,

I had started to mine SUGARCHAIN lately and I found some exchanges to trade it, but I was surprised the rates applied by the exchange platform when I was checking the price.

So I am using coingecko for the price of SUGAR and as I was surprised by the rates displayed on the exchanges I decided to check the price on other platforms like nomics for instance.

And clearly there are massive discrepencies on the price for this coin. Between those 2 agregators it can be double...

So simple question:  Where is the real reference rate for SUGARCHAIN coin  Huh

In a more generic way, what would be the best coin price agregator for any coin using yespower algorithm for mining ?  (yenten, urx, sugar, microbt etc ...)  Roll Eyes

Thanks in advance for ant input.

Bonus question: Why the platform would have different prices ?  I think SUGAR doesn't een have a price on coin market cap...

You all repeat over and over that there is no real use case for Shib.

Is paying my hairdress in shib considered a real "in life" use case?

Is paying my McDo in shib considered a real use case?

Is paying my theater tickets in shib considered a real use case?

And if not please enlight me with what is considered a real in life use case?

Hesitating to buy a bit more here but definitely not selling anything as it's still currently my best performer.

I'm convinced it will eat another zero during a bull run before end of the year.

Afterall we expect btc to chase crazily the 100k bar before end of the year.

Thank you guys for your answers.

Well I finally succeeded to trade USDT for Saitama.

I find very deceiving the fact that it's not possible to do so directly on the ETH blockchain without implying insanely high fees.

Well anyway I have my Saitama now, so it's fine.

Need some help with Saitama
by

on 15/11/2021, 21:18:50 UTC
Hello everyone,

I'd try to get some Saitama on my trust wallet.

My first try was the naive one:
import the Saitama token in my wallet token list and go for a swap of some of my eth against it.
Well it' s a nogo and I get an error after clicking on the submit button.

Second try I go to Uniswap dapp to exchange and to my surprise my 0.0015 eth are transformed in 0.1 Saitama... Is it a scam or is there something I'm missing here? No need to say that I'll never validate 0.001 eth for 0.1 Saitama. Obviously.

If anybody could give me some hint/lead that would be much appreciated.
