Re: Are Protection Funds Just a Marketing Gimmick?
by
Asap264
on 16/02/2025, 19:01:44 UTC
What do you guys think? do protection funds really mean anything, or are they just another tool for exchanges to gain user trust without real accountability
What I can agree more about is that the exchanges are using it to have customers trusts and to have more customers to use their exchange. I remember Bitget used this tactic last year to have more customers.

The money that you do not have full control of, do not trust. There could be a disappointment.
You've hit the nail on the head. Protection funds have become a marketing gimmick for many exchanges, aiming to lure in customers with a false sense of security. It's alarming to see how popular exchanges flaunt these funds as a way to build trust, without actually providing transparency or accountability.
Your point about Bitget using this tactic last year may be or may not be true because I know little about other exchanges, but Bitget i actually followed their Protection Fund Valuation Report announcement for months and i have never seen a foul play for once in my own view. I even saw the recent one on January 22nd that they had an all-time-high of $690 million. Same with some unpopular exchanges.

Should I jump into anything in this crypto space?
by
Asap264
on 16/02/2025, 08:56:04 UTC
Dear beginners, if you don’t have a plan for yourself, you’ll jump on anything that looks like it will give you more money.

Do you still remember those devs who jumped on Web3 trend and started learning solidity and building NFT marketplaces?
Where are they now?
Create a clear vision for yourself, evaluate it and make sure it is want you want.
The hard part is not the vision, but the ability to ignore every other thing and anybody who is trying to distract you.
They don’t understand where you’re headed so they’ll criticise you, but with time they’ll get it.

If you do one thing long enough, even if you’re mediocre, by virtue of being the last man standing, you’ll become a domain expert.

Re: What do you know about depression?

From what i heard its pretty bad. I want to believe that you can decrease it via exercise and eating the right food. Don't give up before you try all that. And be where the love is, because thats life. Best of lucks and take care of yourself, life is so fragile and we need to be grateful for every second.
Depression is not something somone should actually pray, it kills slowly than cancer. And my advice is for people to make sure they do what makes them happy 😊 move away from.bad relationships and also enter the gym.

Re: Re-Staking 101: My Approach to Finding Potential Projects
by
Asap264
on 16/02/2025, 07:17:47 UTC
Someone asked me on this forum if I actually do re-staking, and my answer is yes. I believe around 80% of crypto traders engage in re-staking to earn more interest on their initial stake.

From my limited knowledge, I'm aware of ETH re-staking, SOL re-staking, and Solayer re-staking, a newly launched protocol built natively on Solana.

My advice to those interested in re-staking is to always do your own research (DYOR). For instance, when I researched potential projects, I compared Ethereum, Solana, and Solayer's transaction per second (TPS). The results showed Solayer with an impressive 1,000,000+ TPS, while Solana had 7,229 and Ethereum had a lower TPS.

These findings led me to see significant potential in the $LAYER token, which could gain massive adoption and perform well, especially with its upcoming listing.
So, this is actually the best way for me to search for hidden gems. How about you, how do you conduct your own research (DYOR) on projects? And is this the first time you're hearing about re-staking?

Nah it's not the first time. I know about restaking on ETH and on ecosystem like cosmos but never on Solana but this is new. Checked it out and it seems it's a binance incubated projets with other $180m in tvl..they've got good figures oo. This should be the reason why the price trend of layer is doing well post launch

Sorry which exchange is this? Because I don't think Binance looks like.

The problem with Re-Staking is that most POS coins currently have a lower curve compared to Bitcoin so even if you staking and it has an APY of around 10% or more you may find the result is much lower than if you invested in Bitcoin. So I think Staking and Re-Staking are more suitable for a bear market.
You get it now and it seems that the bear market is near with the way things are move downward.  If we want to profit I think staking and restaking is the way

In the spirit of Valentine, let's talk about Talking Stage
by
Asap264
on 15/02/2025, 10:16:17 UTC
The talking stage—the phase where two people are getting to know each other before officially dating—can be exciting, fun, and full of possibilities. It’s the time when you both exchange texts all day, share jokes, talk about life, and build an emotional connection. But at what point does the talking stage stop being productive and start wasting your time?
If you’ve been “talking” to someone for months with no clear direction, it might be time to ask: Where is this going?
Signs the Talking Stage is Becoming a Waste of Time
✅ It’s Been Too Long Without Progress: While there's no set timeline, a talking stage that drags on indefinitely without defining the relationship can be a red flag. If weeks or months go by without clarity, you might be stuck in a loop with no real commitment.
✅ They Keep Avoiding the Relationship Conversation: Do they change the topic when you bring up the “What are we?” question? If someone enjoys your company but isn’t willing to define the relationship, they might just be keeping you around for convenience.
✅ Inconsistency in Communication: One minute they’re all over you, and the next, they disappear for days. If their communication is hot and cold, they might not be taking the connection seriously.
✅ You’re Emotionally Invested, But They’re Not: If you find yourself constantly thinking about them, making efforts, and hoping for a relationship while they remain indifferent, you might be pouring energy into something that won’t grow.
If you’ve communicated your feelings and they still give excuses, vague answers, or refuse to define things, it’s time to step back. A healthy connection should have mutual effort, respect, and clear intentions. If someone truly values you, they won’t leave you in a never-ending talking stage.
The talking stage should be a stepping stone to something meaningful, not a waiting room for commitment that may never come.
Don’t settle for uncertainty—if they aren’t ready to move forward, respect yourself enough to walk away. Your time is valuable, and the right person will make their intentions clear from the start. If you like this write up react

Big account doesn't always translate to big influence
by

on 14/02/2025, 05:49:14 UTC
Sometimes in April last year, I mistakenly sent 140k to a wrong account. I even tweeted about it and people told me to contact my bank. I did but they weren't really helpful.

Someone here (has less than 1k followers) just sent me a DM. Asked me for few details so that he can "freeze" the money. I can't remember the exact language he used. I have him the details and in less than 15 minutes, he told me it was done. He further told me that he will see that the person the money was sent to (in Bayelsa) returns the money. I followed everything he said religiously and he did everything he said he would do.

My money was sent back to me three days later. I asked to send him something but he replied "Just keep doing what you do here". Big account doesn't always translate to big influence and small account does not mean small influence.

Re: Why are the big players promoting memecoins ?
by
Asap264
on 11/02/2025, 21:06:57 UTC
who doesn't want free money? they just need to developer and launch memecoin, and then let those idiots buy memecoin in the hope that they can get rich from it. it's very easy for them to play on the stupidity of these people because these big guys have confidence that with their popularity and influence they can make people buy the memecoin they launch.
Actually, It is no longer a secret that big guys in this space often capitalize on their influence to profit from meme coins. Take the recent case of CZ and the TSTBSC coin, for example.
CZ publicly called out the project for using Binance’s logo without authorization, but the controversy only fueled its popularity. Within hours, traders flocked to it, and its market cap soared to over $168 million. Despite being labeled a "test MEME coin" in its whitepaper, TSTBSC is now listed on exchanges like Bitget.
This shows how easily hype can drive meme coin success, often benefiting those with influence while exposing retail investors to volatility.
While meme coins can be profitable, they remain a high-risk game where the big guys frequently hold the cards.

Letter to young men in relationships!
by
Asap264
on 11/02/2025, 17:39:14 UTC
Dear Young Man,
A relationship that does not support your personal growth, provide encouragement, and foster development may ultimately hinder your progress.
 Avoid it. Yes avoid it...
You may mistakenly assume she loves you due to her pretended desire for your attention, which distracts you from your goals and life's purpose.

Despite being informed, you might disregard this warning and continue down a path of gradual manipulation.

Are you truly convinced that you are in love? This conviction is misinformed.

Once she has successfully conquered you, she will discard you, dump you, trash you and move forward with her life, having achieved her objectives. She will still shame you by telling you that you aren't serious with your life.
Regardless of your profound affection for your partner, prioritize your personal growth, objectives, and aspirations above the relationship.
Remain focused...
Stay wise..

Re: Tapswap Finally getting listed: Will It Be a Dust or Gold?
by
Asap264
on 10/02/2025, 08:33:57 UTC
This is very likely to be a dust. I think they missed their window to launch last year. That was the opportunity. The enthusiasm and attention around telegram mini apps have since vanished. Even flagship project like notcoin have been in a race to new all time lows with other telegram mini app projects. Notcoin that peaked close to $2B is now at <$300m marketcap.

What is the hope for tapswap then? TON network itself haven't been doing well in recent months.

I checked all social medias after the news could you believe that everyone was saying dust, but don't use thing since they are listing on reputable exchange the project can shock us by bringing something good?

Re: How I Made 25,600% Profit with Jelly-My-Jelly
by
Asap264
on 09/02/2025, 15:08:22 UTC
Yeah I agree with this, at least consider selling half of it so if it does dump to near $0 as often happens with these meme coins, you will have some money (big profit). It would really bug me if I made a massive profit like that but didn’t sell some of it.

It's better to take something than nothing.
After all, if it's true - OP would only lose $5 from such an endeavor.
I know some people thought i was dumb that i might actually left my profit and not cash out, but that's not the case i did even before coming here. So my advice is people to always DYOR every time and also about the Bitget seed i made mention on my post, there are different potential projects that come out from there on daily basis, i got something one solid project from there last week aside from $JellyJelly also, $jailstool is another project that was listed from bitgetseed recently and doing well. If someone is not greedy in this space, someone will enjoy

I don't expect any airdrop on telegram via TON to do well at all
It will be listed on Binance Smart Chain.

I think it may actually have the same great fate as $NOTCOIN and other listed projects on Bitget.
Did you check the price of NOT now? It has always been on the fall.

And also i don't really think people used money to farm $TAPSWAP. Let us keep looking!
You do not think? But not that I do not think but I know and I am very certain of it.

I believe every projects that people farm shouldn't be held for a long time, although if u like the project you can decide to buy it back after sometimes, but trying to hold even after listing may seem like bad market. And talking about $NOT people sold which is normal and small hype again can move it up.

It's better. I don't even think about it, like how many times have they announced their listing and their token generation? I have also lost count of how many projects that have come even while Tap Swap was already existing; a few launched did well, while the majority were all dust.

I don't expect much from them; they can either give millions of their token, which will be worth a cent, or they will still give a few numbers of the token, which will still be dust. The chances of people who wasted their time on the project getting something tangible worth their time are over 1 per cent, if you ask me. Only a few, less than 1% of the total participants, will get something good from the project.

It will always happen with projects that seem late, but sometimes old is usually gold and talking about the reputable exchange they are listing there is a good possibility of some sweet things coming.

Let me guess.

The token that will be given to people will be small in amount of money. It would be a worthless project.

I have people I tapped it. I guess the time channelled in tapswap would have been better to have been channelled on other things that are worth it. Those that paid money will feel scammed.

The price may start to fall immediately. But if it rises, it will later fall back. I was told that it will not be listed on Ton but on BSC. Let us see how it would be because I think this would be the first of its kind.

I think it may actually have the same great fate as $NOTCOIN and other listed projects on Bitget. And also i don't really think people used money to farm $TAPSWAP. Let us keep looking!

Keep believing and giving up shouldn't be an option
by
Asap264
on 08/02/2025, 22:05:08 UTC
Tonight, I was sitting alone and reminiscing about the days when all hope seemed lost, and there were no options in sight. If not for God's intervention, I often wonder where people like me would have ended up.

I feel compelled to share my story. I recall losing a writing gig in November, right when I was taking my final college exams to graduate. I desperately needed the money, but the person I was working with abruptly terminated our collaboration, citing a flimsy reason.

Fast-forward to today, and I'm grateful to say that new opportunities are emerging, and God has been guiding me. Interestingly, the same person who let me go even reached out, and we're still working together.

My experiences have taught me that there's always hope, no matter how bleak things may seem. This isn't the end of my story; greater things are still on the horizon for me.

To anyone reading this, I want to encourage you: don't give up. The challenges you're facing right now are just a phase, and you will get through them. Take care, and good night!

Tapswap Finally getting listed: Will It Be a Dust or Gold?
by
Asap264
on 08/02/2025, 14:43:49 UTC
If you were among the first to jump on the Tap and Earn trend, you'll definitely recall that $Tapswap was one of the pioneering projects on Telegram. I remember we had $DOGS, $HAMSTER, $NOTCOIN, $CATS, and many more, but all these projects got listed on various exchanges before $Tapswap. To the extent that those of us who farmed it back then had almost forgotten about it.
Guess what? I recently checked X and was surprised to see that $Tapswap is finally getting listed! https://x.com/tapswapai/status/1888138317956321781?t=chpLhVtzA59dqWCJWSSGuw&s=19, Also when I checked the exchange, I saw $TAPS there.
The question on everyone's mind is: will $Tapswap turn out to be a 'dust' project, wasting people's efforts in the end, or will it be a case of 'old but gold' for the farmers who participated in the airdrop?

BTC to 150K this year?

Hello everyone, are we going to see 150k this year because it seems Donald Trump does not have time for BTC again?
