Hello pals,
Is Bitcoin really secure? What if a hacker was able to hack Bitcoin system/blockchain?
for 8 years they have been trying and failing.

Quote
Who manages Bitcoin security and what are the security measures taken to avoid hackers being able to steal Bitcoins?
the code!
it is a cryptocurrency and that means bitcoin uses cryptography to achieve that security. the cryptography that is being used in other places in the world too. and that makes it safe.

Why Bitcoin is not blocked for those who use it illegally by buying/selling in the deepweb market? What if governements ban Bitcoin because of these people?

Re: Is this for real? I could be a millionaire?

Let's put things in perspective. No one can get rich with bitcoin. The market value of bitcoin fluctuates every day. It changes. In your situation, the best you can do is research. Never get satisfied with what other people are saying. They only say things based on their experience. It helps to rely on your instinct. It also helps to do your own research. The value of a bitcoin is currently higher than in 2010. These are the same bitcoins with different value. If yo think you made a mistake, move on. Start all over and re-invest. It's not yet late.

Re: What made 'Bitcoin' the Bitcoin it is today?
by

What made Bitcoin so successful? How couldn't altcoins like defeat it at the early stages? Is it because of the overwhelming support of the community that made bitcoin what it is today?
Considering its the first digital currency or cryptocurrency exist wayback before into those years. It might not get the attention directly from most people but there are some who do believe on its potential and Satoshi did really make a great innovation when it comes into payment system which we do see on its white paper on whats the purpose of the creation of bitcoin and now we are witnessing its success.

Also, bitcoin is used in various ICO projects. The ICO promotes the use of cryptocurrency as a vehicle to improve the overall quality of payment transactions. With the use of bitcoin or ethereum, the payment system becomes safer due to blockchain technology. It seems impossible to hack it. Look at Everex. It restarts its ICO for the second time and it allows new investors to buy a bitcoin token. You can sign up here, goo.gl/E2NDF2 for more details.

Re: Difference between Bitcoin and real money?
by

on 17/08/2017, 04:26:24 UTC
Both are money. The big difference is real money is a cash. It's a physical money. You can hold it and put it in your physical wallet. Bitcoin, on the other hand, is a virtual money. You can't hold it but you can feel its various benefits such as quick money transfers. You also put it in a wallet but this is a virtual wallet.

Re: Why still so many ICO projects here after Bitcoin forks?
by

on 16/08/2017, 04:21:55 UTC
The bitcoin fork isn't an enough reason for ICO companies to stop its campaign. The death of ICO means the cryptocurrency has no value. The world doesn't want it to happen. Cryptocurrency is here to stay. So is ICO.

Re: Ethereum SCAM?

It makes me wonder why a cryptocurrency that currently ranks number two next to bitcoin is a scam. Ethereum is still young but come to realize, most start-ups in ICO make use eth as their token due to its smart contract technology. Everex becomes a popular company because of its first-ever ethereum mobile wallet app goo.gl/E2NDF2 that allows anyone to send and receive money from anywhere.

Re: Why do you invest in ICOs?
by
Aur3
on 16/08/2017, 03:59:41 UTC
1. ICO supports the value of cryptocurrency.

2. ICO introduces all investors to smart contract technology.

3. Active participation in ICO allows you to learn the various benefits of cryptocurrency.

4. Payment transaction in ICO is safe round the clock due to blockchain technology.

5. Most ICO companies have realistic mission to make a difference. Everex is a great example, goo.gl/E2NDF2 Alexi Lane and his team want to build a quicker and better remittance system worldwide.

6. ICO can be a scam, they say, but it's totally up to you to believe what companies are only fooling you and what companies are for real.

Re: Which ICO to invest this summer ?

Everex restarted its ICO for the second time. For this reason alone, you can clearly tell this is the one to invest too. There are 10 reasons why investing in Everex is a great decision. You can read it all here, goo.gl/E2NDF2 Alexi Lane and his team are aiming to build a new remittance system in which money transfers are better and quicker. Unlike the traditional system, Everex introduces the use of Ethereum mobile wallet app, which can be easily installed in your phone. Anyone can access this app; therefore, every one has the ability to transfer money anywhere and anytime.

Re: Bill Gates on Bitcoin

Bill Gates stated that the Bitcoin is the future and that it is better than currency. Would you assume that his statement (as one of the many reasons) added value on Bitcoin which made it stronger and more stable in the system?  Smiley

Yes. Bill Gates is on point. Bitcoin has an unstoppable meteoric rise since the fork and this has proven that we're now living the future. We now have a stronger currency. It seems experimental but guess what, we're going in the right direction. Bitcoin rocks! Bitcoin rules!

... its value is rising. It's a bit scary bitcoin's market value continues to rise. It could hurt when a downfall occurs. While this is inevitable, we need to prepare. Truth is, if there's a downfall, bitcoin can survive due to high demand. More new investors are still coming.

Re: Would you give bitcoin as a wedding gift?

Some tech-savvy wedding-goers are gifting the digital currency to new couples. Honeyfund, a honeymoon registry that allows guests to give cash rather than gifts, has seen more than a dozen customers donate in bitcoin, said chief executive officer and co-founder Sara Margulis. In recent years, more than a dozen customers have chosen to route donations to the site from bitcoin wallets. Zola, a wedding registry website, has had just two cash funds created for bitcoins since 2013, a spokeswoman said. "I would expect it to pop more as millennials come into the wedding age,” Honeyfund’s Margulis said. “It’s something you will do if your friends and family are already into bitcoin.

Bitcoin as an retirement plan, bitcoin to secure the future of your kids, and now bitcoin as a wedding gift. Whether or not bitcoin replaces cash in future, it looks like the trend of gifting bitcoin instead of cash at weddings is definitely going to catch up and more wedding registeries would be adding bitcoin as a gifting option.

Quote
Avoid using a wedding gift "as an opportunity to proselytize a technology you personally believe in, but the recipient could not care less about."

People who are not into bitcoin might not appreciate getting a volatile currency as a gift, and might never use it, thus adding it to the list of lost coins, but I think people who are already using bitcoin or would most probably use it in future then bitcoin instead of cash is the apt wedding gift for them.

This is one cool idea. For sure, the newlywed will have a good time spending the bitcoin - better yet, invest it for their future plans (such as trip around the world). The bitcoin gift makes them realize the importance of cryptocurrency and how beneficial it is to improve the quality of their lives.

I've never heard one but soon, there should be. It's a great idea if health insurance companies will accept bitcoin payment. This way, the contribution of the members will remain safe and thoroughly recorded in a ledger. The incident of corruption is less, better yet, gone.

Re: Ethereum: Good alt or stay away?
by

on 15/08/2017, 16:06:44 UTC
It's a good idea investing in Eth. ICO companies won't make it as their token if not for its special value. Take a look at Everex. It's mission is to build a safer, quicker and faster remittance system worldwide with the use of a smart contract technology. Just in case you want to invest in them, just sign up here goo.gl/E2NDF2 I'm pretty sure you won't regret it.

The truth is, investing in ICO is supporting the rise of ethereum while making the world a better place. You see, if Everex can fix the zigzag roads in remittance world, all is happy. Money transfer delays are gone. Corruption incidents are gone too.

Re: Is Ethereum a threat to BTC???
by
Aur3
on 15/08/2017, 15:56:05 UTC
As I observe it, the answer is yes. First, ethereum is currently the second most popular cryptocurency. It gets a lot of attention just like bitcoin. Second, most start-up companies in ICO also make use of eth as their token due to smart contract technology. Everex is an example, goo.gl/E2NDF2

Perhaps, as we speak, eth isn't as a big threat but time only tells when it starts to rev up, and be a clear threat to the frontrunner.

No one knows. Bitcoin's market value fluctuates every day. These days, luckily, it's going up and up. The last time I checked was $4000 and there were also predictions that say time will come its value goes down. I hope these are untrue.
