Heh, this whole thing is getting silly.

Everyone has pointed out that there shouldn't be a remote code execution vulnerability in the code, it makes all the users of the software vulnerable to attack. Even if rico666 doesn't abuse this at some point, if anyone breaks into the server, they can use it to do anything they want on all of the users machines. Of course attacks are likely (if not already going on) baring in mind attacking the server would no doubt yield a gold mine of wallets. This is not the way to do security, and is in fact extremely risky and insecure.

That said, it's apparent rico666 isn't interested in resolving the issue, and will continue to ship code with a RCE vulnerability, despite being told be the general masses that this is unacceptable. The simple answer now is that users of the software need to be aware of what they are signing up for, and the risks it entails. As such, the simple answer is unless you have a strongly sandboxed environment to run this code in and understand the risks fully, I wouldn't recommend running it at all.

Haha, just doing my bit for the fellow bitcoiner unable to make it to the event.

I decided to stick with audio only and just had my phone on my lap, was behind a few people and the stage wasn't raised so all I (and thus my phone) could see was the backs of heads ;-)

My phone cut out a couple times. Every time I got a phone call ustream would stop, also had some connectivity issues.

There were professional film crews filming the whole thing and I hear they plan to upload those, so definitely worth looking for those when they appear :-)

Event was awesome though, met loads of top notch people, well worth the trip. Here's a photo of me with a few of the Bitcoin greats (I'm third from the left) http://twitter.com/Azelphur/status/352167414965891072/photo/1

Re: Lemon - defaulted loan

Just to add experiences with Lemon here, I'm remaining impartial on the "is he a scammer" front for now, but I will add to the best of my ability my experiences with him so far.

We have done 1 successful large BTC trade, he went first.

He says he is a lawyer, and I have employed him to do some legal work for me, however as yet the quality hasn't been up to par.
He told me he was going to send me client/lawyer agreement paperwork when I first requested his services on 18th of April, As of yet, despite multiple requests, the paperwork has still not arrived.

He was supposed to be sorting tax stuff out for me, he says that HMRC hasn't replied to him yet. In my experience, HMRC response times are far less than 2 months.

I have been having major issues with the banks, he hasn't been all that helpful with it at all.

I find myself having to contact another solicitor, because the work quite simply isn't up to par.

Awesome work, this works great for me, It's absolutely brilliant for traders on the go (cash trades, etc). Can have electrum running on my laptop which means a really fast 'instant on' experience, but at the same time have everything sync perfectly with my PC back at home. Smiley

Hi folks, I got some additional information today.

He tricked me into trading with him using another identity (bitpeter) although the trade was legitimate and he provided the bitcoin (he went first), I figured out later that they were one and the same due to same sort code, same IP, same location.

Here is another alias of the elusive alwaysminings for you folks, Mr Peter Knowles 87568829 601717

My sources for this information:
(20:15:58) bitpeter [5e07dd7b@gateway/web/freenode/ip.94.7.221.123] entered the room.
(12:30:16) alwaysminings [5e07dd7b@gateway/web/freenode/ip.94.7.221.123] entered the room.

I also have a possible location on the fellow.

(19:22:25) bitpeter: I am in the old town of margate
(19:22:31) Azelphur: cool in the town center?
(19:22:41) bitpeter: yeah on the seafront
(19:22:47) Azelphur: nice
(19:22:48) bitpeter: i live above the westcoast bar
(19:22:56) bitpeter: if you knw where that is
(19:23:33) Azelphur: cool

Which puts him Here, the location also matches the GeoIP, so I think we have quite possibly found him Smiley

He was impersonating me? friendly.

Anyway, I keep getting messages from people asking me to identify him (at least 5 now) so I'd just like to make this clear
Xoom anonymizes transactions, I have no information to give, sorry!

On another note as we have a large amount of bitcoins that is only going to grow in amount I'm going to purchase a Yubikey to secure our wallet.  They only cost $25 - https://store.yubico.com/store/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=3 - and don't worry our coins are not held on MtGox but on blockchain.info hybrid wallet.  So they don't have access to our wallet and copy is also kept and updated to my 'Google Drive'.

Purchased in exchange for 2.4 bitcoins, payment on delivery to 1ECJKKXYiUKjPwFW4BRBKKjiSnjutkZDXe Smiley

Please post quotes of the specific promises he made and broke.

He originally told everyone he didn't put miners earnings in BS&T, and now says that he can't pay people back because BS&T isn't paying out.

After a week of negotiations surrounding this mess that I am fully to blame for, well aside from the fact BTCST should have paid out by now

Clipse runs a mining pool with bonus PPS payouts, however, the website is down, the pool itself is down, Clipse is nowhere to be seen. The money that we mined is currently being held by Clipse. He currently owes me around 50 BTC, although I can't be sure as I can't login to the website (since it's down) to find out.

He owes me around 50, and I'm pretty sure I think I recall him at some point saying he uses his own methods and not pirate for investments.

Yea, this guy needs a scammer tag for that alone.
